*A broken voice calls for the young woman. It's the former-FEMA, again. A usual sight, given they both protect the school and the people in it. Two gunswomen with experience and guts, but not that much more in common.

Ilya looked way worse than the last time they saw each other. A huge slit across their throat was the proof of a very recent fight : a burn badly healing, still raw and open. The former-FEMA looked barely alive. Face drained of colors, hair wild, sniper in hand.*

- ... he..lp ? Arkadij... Attacked. Rook.

*Speaking was painful. And Ilya looked very close to opening the wound again if they continued speaking, so they stopped, a serious look on their face expressing their demand instead. They just left Rook in the infirmary under good guard...

Time to make the visitor pay.

But they know they have little chances of success alone.*

Her eyes flick once to the wound. Hm, not a surprise that a FEMA Agent would wind up with a scar like that. Must be from a altercation from a visitor.

She scoffs as she takes a bandage wrap, making her way over to Ilya as they mentioned about...Arkdaji? The brat? Attacking someone? Didn't she and him talk about rats a day ago?

“Who's Rook?”

"I do sign. But I doubt you do. So. I speak."

Very simple, short phrases and they are quite slow. But they wanted to show off a little. They'll learn better soon, thanks to Nemoy's guide. Anyway. Back to the Rook incident.*

*The "man" in hazmat takes a step back as Grey approaches with the bandage. A nice gesture but their reflex is to keep a safe distance... They are feeling on edge and the idea of being helped is almost scary. Do they look that weak and broken ??? Yes. Yes they do. But they refuse to admit it.

They want to avenge Rook, goddamit !*

- ... a kid. Fema o-one. B-bitten.

*Saying not to speak and then asking questions as if Ilya had a notepad... No, they wore a gun and nothing else since they left their medecine bag with Rook and Artie in the infirmary !

They search for Grey's eyes, and do a little chin gesture. "So ? Are we going ?"*

So Rook, that FEMA agent. Same on who got attacked by that bot. Not surprised honestly considering how people felt about FEMA.

“We will be off once we fix that neck of yours. Lest, Arkdaji bites that too.”

*The former-FEMA opened wide amber eyes, excited to find someone else they could somewhat speak with without destroying their own poor body.*

"Good."

*They signed a simple answer and, finally, let the woman approach. She was not a danger. And Ilya really needed help to get Arkadij. A visitor who tasted blood was no joke !*

"Thank. You."

*Better to keep quiet, now. They would not want Grey's efforts to be in vein. And being the one being helped was a nice change...*

Grey has no expression as she meticulously wrapped the bandages, tight but it still let Ilya speak.

“What's the story behind this?”

She raised an eyebrow.

*Ilya was feeling a bit better, or at least safer, with a protection against their wound. It felt painful and the contact rubbing was torture but it was for their own good and they grumpily endured it.*

"No time. Not telling you. Let's go."

*Ah. Ilya almost forgot they were an asshole. Might have been too friendly and casual lately ! Phew, they remembered in time !

But Grey is the closest thing they got to an ally right now. So maybe they could make... A very express answer ? With their poor skills, they had to make it in a resume anyway...*

"Monster attack. Big bird. Mask. Giant. My own gun. Burned. Strangled. Now, we go ?"

They blinked twice and followed, their gun ready. They were not here to joke. Or get healed. But it was infinitly better and for that they were thankful.

They knew what the visitor looked like. And they knew he had run outside. But were ? He had a good headstart now.*

- "Did you see him out here ?"

*The ground around the school was city ocean of grey concret... But here and there, a small hint of blood on the ground... Shapped like the tip of a shoe. It looks fresh. Fresher than the other bloodstains from weeks ago.*

- "Got a trail. Let's go."

*So fortunate for the strap of their gun or speaking in hands would be hell.*

She sighs dramatically. She picks up her rifle and cocks it.

“Shall we head out?”

*They could not speak but they could grunt, at least, and that was a form of communication, in a way...

They were already following the small stains of blood around, hoping Rook bled enough for it to lead them both toward the culprit. Or toward anything else that could be bleeding, really...

But the source of the trail was the school and there was little doubt on what it could be. Everything else was so calm... So dead...

They gestured at Grey to follow behind them.

As if THEY were going to lead and protect in their poor state. Such a pridefull twat.*

Every now and then, Ilya give a glance back at the woman acting like a model. Not that much of a hunter but they knew her competence and seriousness and trusted her as an ally through this.

The trail of blood lead to the town and ended near the complex of burnt apartment buildings. He can't be too far away...

"That's my spot, you fucker." He said while staring at the corpses of some FEMA member, which layed agains the wall of the staircase. It barely could be even called a corpse, it's basically a skeleton dressed up in hazmat, who knows for how long it was there just abandoned and rotting? Arkadij carelessly just kicked it with his boots to the point the skull simple fell off and rolled down the stairs.

He sighs while looking around, no idea why he even decided to come here out of all places. Arkadij was currently inside one of the buildings, more precisely at the same staircase where he "died" or rather woke up after getting infected with that parasite which turned him into what he is now. Hard to tell if turning into a visitor was a blessing or a curse, maybe it would be better if he just killed him back then.

He's trying to think what he should do now. Rookie probably informed Ilya about what Arkadij had done so the only thing he might get after going back to that shelter is a bullet right between his eyes. He thought to himself: '...I could just kill him and hide the body instead of playing merciful and shit.' ...He cannot just leave. If he won't come back then Boris will kill Bee, not to even mention that Arkadij left his rats there (At least he hopes that someone would feed them.). Eeh..Think, think, think. He knew that he fucked up and that he needs a plan, does Ilya look like someone he can simply gaslight into thinking that he haven't done it and Rookie is just insane and blaming him for something he haven't done? No..

He randomly looked through the window and his eyes immidietaly widened. He saw Ilya and ..Grey?Both with guns. Shit, they must be looking for him!

"Fuck."

"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.." That's all he could say to himself.

He must act quick, maybe hide? But what if they find him?! They will shot him as soon as they do.

..And then he noticed something behind the dead body. A rifle? Hmm, this might be useful, just in case.

Without even thinking, Arkadij grabbed the riffle and rushed to the basement. Perfect spot, dark and with many spots where he can hide and patiently wait until they just leave or not. Even if they walk in and find him..He has a weapon. He checked it, it's still loaded.

As soon as he heard the footsteps, he pointed the rifle directly at the door and just waited. He won't hesitate to shot if it's necessary...He might as well just leave the building and start running away if they decide to go upstairs instead. That's the plan.

*The former-FEMA tilts their head to the side at Grey's words. Is Arkadij hurt ? Did Rook fight back ? Or is it really the poor boy's blood leaking from clothes and red hands ? And would that change anything, really ?

The victim and the Culprit did not exchange roles. Even if both are hurt one almost died and the other started it all, surely.

So they come to the building... Enter, with apprehension.

Ilya almost jumped in the air when Grey took their hand in hers. What ?! Why ?! At least announce it ! It spook them ! Human contact ! They almost shot in their surprise !

They give her a confused and angry look, but follow wisely, and stop at the same door. Well. Here it is. They can hear movement behind it.

They sign for Grey to stay out of shooting capacity : behind the wall, away from the door frame. They, themselves, are stuck to the other side, leaning against the wall. Soldier and police style.

They look at the door...

And then kick it open !

... Before retraiting behind the wall and away from the potential danger. Like a coward who wants to stay alive.*

He's simply listening, waiting for their next move. Squeezing the rifle as his body started to shake..Fuck, he's rarely this stressed but now he can't stop thinking about the worst case scenerio.

Fuck it..He might as well try to talk. If they do one wrong move and he will just shot.

"Hey! Both of you! Toss the guns in my direction and then we can have a fuckin' talk. I have a gun and a damn granate! One wrong move and I'm gonna use it!" He yelled, hiding even more behind one of the walls at the basement...Obviously lied about granate part, probably attempting to scare them with the possibility that he might have something even more dangerous than a rifle.

“You don't have a grenade,” she said flatly.

“You're breathing too fast,” she continued, voice even, almost clinical. “If you had a grenade, you wouldn't risk saying it out loud unless you were ready to use it. Besides you would kill all of us and I don't think that's what you want to achieve.”

Ilya was ready for "tactical retreat" -after all, he was outside the school now- but Grey was not falling for it and the former-FEMA had to admit her logic made sense. But... They were unwilling to risk it. A real coward. But who could blame them ? They had people waiting for them at home.

But that moment of doubt was gone once the other answered.

Arkadij was loosing it.

He sounded like a scared teenager. Good grief why were visitors so good at mimicking human emotions ?! It was all a dirty scheme but it was horrible to hear that panic in his voice.*

- ... fu...ck...

*The pain on their whole body from the recent fight convinces them. A good visitor is a dead visitor. They cock their gun.

Then point it inside, without risking anything else than their hands.

They shoot blind.*

*Way, way too high. A warning shot. Bluff wont cut it.*

Grey pushed Ilya's arm, making the bullet shoot upwards, the shot tore through the ceiling tile with a brittle crack then a dull, choking thunk from somewhere above, like the building itself had swallowed the bullet. Dust sifted down in a thin, steady veil. She scoffed angrily.

“Are you insane Ilya? You don’t improvise without warning me.. it might improve your survival rate if you don't act on implusiveness.”

She realised that the shot might make Arkdaji even more violent and she didn't want to use the gun unless it was most needed. She pinched the bridge of her nose.

He got rather absolutely pissed off with that gunshot rather than scared or anything like that. Arkadij hissed and pulled the trigger, suprisingly with no intention to shoot them, probably he himself had no idea why he's wasting the bullets like that. The bullet hit the wall next to the door. "See?! I also have a fuckin' weapon and know how to use it!'

"What's your fucking problem anyway, Ilya?! You haven't done shit to find that guy who stabbed Nemoy, I fuckin' doubt that you even bothered to hunt down the guy who attacked Bee! FUCK are you even doing anything?! OOOOOOH I GET IT! As soon as I hurt one of you yellow fuckers then I'm the most evil damn thing on earth who must be put down like a dog?! Fuck! You even bothered to find me unlike in other cases!" Arkadij yelled, still squeezing the weapon. He's really pissed..

"For your fuckin' information, you stupid bitch, I didn't even tried to kill him! If I did, you probably wouldn't even find the body! This piece of shit tried to shot me and I was merciful enough to just harm him a bit! I wonder if he even mentioned that I fuckin' suggested to take him to you afterwards so you could patch him up! HAHA, MAYBE HE WASN'T THAT DEADLY INJURED IF HE WAS ABLE TO RAN AWAY!" He's spilling words very fast, still yelling at them. He's at least doing something to explain the situation but words it in a way which might make the situation even worse...He just couldn't stop himself from throwing insults and insensitive comments and accusations.

If only Ilya could speak !

They would say that Nemoy himself didnt denounce his attacker and that they were not a cop with divination powers. What COULD they do ? They stitched up his STOMACH ! Was that doing nothing to help ?

They would say Bee never came forward and they barely saw who it was, nor even know he was attacked. Bah, surely by Arakadij humself, werent they sharing a room ?! Two birds with one stone.

They would point at the four visitors they killed and burried outside.

They would point at every person they healed. Lasha, Arseni, Artie, Nemoy, Rook, in dire need of emergency surgery Ilya had to learn on the spot. And those were the life threatening injuries they treated. Not worth mentionnings all the nursing and maiding and guarding and responsabilities they took left and right.

How dared he ? HOW DARED HE ?

Ilya was working their ass off every. single. fucking. day !!!

Who, WHO was there to help them through this ? Why were they so alone ? Why was it their role ???

They were playing surgeon and soldier the very same night they, themselves, were attacked and left without skin on their throat !!!

Almost dead and still standing, and some fuckass lazy good for nothing visitor INSULTED THEM ???

Boiling and shivering in anger, Ilya was gripping their gun until their hands were white. They looked ready to implode. Oh, they were a bitch ? They would bite his throat off ! They would punch his face into pulp !!!

Grey was right.

Ilya was insane and impulsive.

And they were ready to throw themselves into that room and start a good old fistfight with that visitor.*

Time to part the angry seas like Moses did. She put her hand on Ilya's shoulder, a silent warning.

“Enough Ilya.”

She then proceeded to call out into the darkness, loud enough for Arkdaji to hear.

“If you’re going to shoot someone…” She glanced at the wall where the bullet hit. “…missing is the worst option.”

She cleared her throat.

“The person you lightly injured’” she said, tone flat, precise, “almost died.”

A pause. Just long enough to make the words sit.

“He collapsed, the moment he stepped into the infirmary. He was unconscious before he could say a word.”

Another step forward. Slow. Measured.

“And in case that detail escaped you...” her head tilted slightly, like she was examining something that didn’t quite make sense, “That piece of...excrement you mentioned happens to be a teenager. For lord's sake, of course he was going to shoot you, visitors are the main threat right now.”

She sighs.

“I'm saying this once so listen closely.”

She wraps her rosary around her hand tightly.

“You’ve already fired once. There’s no advantage in doing it again.”

“Drop it.”

He knew what it meant. The weapon.

"...Teenager?" This actually surprised him, since when FEMA was hiring teenagers..? So, he wasn't just young looking. "How the fuck I was supposed to know?!" He sighs after yelling. "I didn't even wanted to hurt him that much, just got a bit carried away let's say.."

Arakdij doesn't put down the weapon, he's not going to give up that easily..He must figure something out, maybe even buy some time. "Mhmm, yeah, I tooootally gonna put that down like a good boy and just let you two kill me! Do you think that I'm fucking stupid?"

As soon as Grey put her hand on their shoulder, the small "man in hazmat" stopped in their tracks. Fuming, boiling, but not dumb enough to walk into a room with a dangerous, armed young man loosing his cool.

They had a Home to come back to. And a child. And, well, Rook to take care off. So, so much work to do.

And not one ounce of a shadow of a hint of recognition. It sucked. Really. What was the point of doing a good deed if no one would even say thank you ? What ? "Knowing you did good" ? "Having a peacefull conciousness" ? Fuck that. They wanted some praises.

And they were very, very pissy about it all.

Fed up with this whole situation.

What the fuck were they all doing here if no one was meant to die ? What was Grey doing ? Ilya asked her for help and she... Played conciliation ? Gentle teacher with a "poor lost boy" who tried to KILL someone ?*

- ... ... ... [Must I do everything myself ? Am I the only normal human here ? What is she doing ?]

*Ilya got their weapon up, ready to shoot again.

Arkadij was calmer but nontheless dangerous and Grey was... Uncomprehensible for Ilya. They were so confused. She was smart, and experienced, and determined, and everything admirable.

So why ?

Their finger on the trigger does a slight clicking sound in the silence. Since Ilya cannot, it speaks for them : I'm ready. Come here.

But they stay in place.

All bark no bite.*

He must get out but how? Think...There must be a way out. Arkadij looked around, seen nothing but burnt walls and darkness in every corner of the basement. It almost felt like the only thing he can do now to survive is to start shooting at them with hope that he will kill them before they kill him. Right before he was about to take a risk and do it, he noticed something light in the darkness, there's a broken basement window with some old slightly burnt shelf underneath it.

Seems like an option but it's probably even more risky. The window is on the other side, if he wants to get there he would have to run and risk the possibility of getting shot..Not to even mention being unsure if he can do it quick enough. That window isn't too small, he should be able to fit through it yet he can still notice some broken glass which could easily injure him if he won't be careful. He would have to do it slow..He's also not really sure if that shelf won't break under his weight...

His eyes widened when he heard the click noise. There's no time to think, he must get out.

Think fast, 'fuck it.'

Arkadij threw some object at them, a lamp which layed nearby and immidietaly rushed to the window. Did Ilya shot him? He has no idea, he did heard something but he's too focused and stressed too even feel anything. It doesn't matter, if he's alive then he can patch himself up later, all that matters is to survive. He jumped onto the shelf, threw the rifle throught the window and tightly held the window frame, the glass digged into his skin and caused bleeding but he didn't cared, only made some painful sound before going futher. Arkadij quickly managed to get through it as the glass shards wounded the skin on his stomach and ripped his clothes in few spots.

He's bleeding but..He almost escaped, a wide smile appeared on his face, hard to tell if it's caused by the rush of adrenaline in his veins or happinese that he survived. "Hah..haah..haha..." He let out some noise which sounded like a laugh before grabbing the rifle and looking up at the sky.

...Shit. The sun is rising. There's no time. He started running away as fast as he could, not even sure in what direction he's going but one thing is sure: as far away from them and that damn school building as possible, fuck it all. He's only hoping that he will be able to find a place to hide before the sun fully rises..and that he won't bleed out. Now, he's slowly starting to feel the pain and notice how much he's bleeding..

Leaving blood on shards of glass, Arkadij dissapeared into the morning glow, free like the wind.

Ilya kicked whatever was around in frustration, took a deep breath, and shoot a second time through the window at the silhouette, but it was no use. He was too far away. And even with the sniper lense, Ilya was blinded by the morning.

Realising the situation they were in, Ilya groaned into their hands, trying not to scream, wich would destroy their throat even more.

Grey and Ilya were stuck in this destroyed building until nightfall.

Why hello there! I've noticed there's been a lack of homeowner blogs around which I realised has been taking away NINAH vibe in the NINAH roleplay community. So here I am! Except this homeowner has a bit of a twist to his character. He's not exactly a hermit! He's a social butterfly, socialite, a gregarious person, a party host, a skibidi sigma, however you want to call him. Some character themes that this character will represent is:

I got inspired by @a-hermit-ish so basically he usually talks in blue but when you try to enter his party house, he will respond in either green, orange or red. Green means he is perfectly happy to let you in and to get this party started! Orange means it means he doesn't want to let someone in but he'd feel guilty to let them out and red means no. If you get a Red, you have to convince him just like the game. Just because he's hedonistic doesn't mean he's stupid.

Some facts about the Homeowner!

His age ranges from early twenties to late twenties! He's the baby out of all the other homeowners I've seen lol.

He has pierced ears and Dahlia bite piercings!

In the game, Vera is the Homeowner's wife but here Vera is his girlfriend who he randomly hooked up with one night at a bar when he was drunk but ended up liking her so much, he made their relationship official. Needless to say he will tend to flirt with some of the guests around here because he can't help himself. Also do NOT bring up the possibility that Vera may be dead because he will kick you out the house. To him, she's just gone to her parents house and she will be back...anytime now....

His "friendly, socialite" persona drops when he's talking with the Pale Visitor or FEMA. He will act more like his game counterpart around them.

He uses parties, beer, interactions to fill that empty hole in him that his father (his backstory is relatively the same) and his trauma left him with.

He drinks tons of caffeine to stay up and entertain his guests.

The socialite is a persona he represents. He's forgotten his true self.

"That's my spot, you fucker." He said while staring at the corpses of some FEMA member, which layed agains the wall of the staircase. It barely could be even called a corpse, it's basically a skeleton dressed up in hazmat, who knows for how long it was there just abandoned and rotting? Arkadij carelessly just kicked it with his boots to the point the skull simple fell off and rolled down the stairs.

He sighs while looking around, no idea why he even decided to come here out of all places. Arkadij was currently inside one of the buildings, more precisely at the same staircase where he "died" or rather woke up after getting infected with that parasite which turned him into what he is now. Hard to tell if turning into a visitor was a blessing or a curse, maybe it would be better if he just killed him back then.

He's trying to think what he should do now. Rookie probably informed Ilya about what Arkadij had done so the only thing he might get after going back to that shelter is a bullet right between his eyes. He thought to himself: '...I could just kill him and hide the body instead of playing merciful and shit.' ...He cannot just leave. If he won't come back then Boris will kill Bee, not to even mention that Arkadij left his rats there (At least he hopes that someone would feed them.). Eeh..Think, think, think. He knew that he fucked up and that he needs a plan, does Ilya look like someone he can simply gaslight into thinking that he haven't done it and Rookie is just insane and blaming him for something he haven't done? No..

He randomly looked through the window and his eyes immidietaly widened. He saw Ilya and ..Grey?Both with guns. Shit, they must be looking for him!

"That's my spot, you fucker." He said while staring at the corpses of some FEMA member, which layed agains the wall of the staircase. It barely could be even called a corpse, it's basically a skeleton dressed up in hazmat, who knows for how long it was there just abandoned and rotting? Arkadij carelessly just kicked it with his boots to the point the skull simple fell off and rolled down the stairs.

He sighs while looking around, no idea why he even decided to come here out of all places. Arkadij was currently inside one of the buildings, more precisely at the same staircase where he "died" or rather woke up after getting infected with that parasite which turned him into what he is now. He's trying to think what he should do now. It barely could be even called a corpse, it's basically a skeleton dressed up in hazmat, who knows for how long it was there just abandoned and rotting? Arkadij carelessly just kicked it with his boots to the point the skull simple fell off and rolled down the stairs.

He sighs while looking around, no idea why he even decided to come here out of all places. Arkadij was currently inside one of the buildings, more precisely at the same staircase where he "died" or rather woke up after getting infected with that parasite which turned him into what he is now. He's trying to think what he should do now. "That's my spot, you fucker." He said while staring at the corpses of some FEMA member, which layed agains the wall of the staircase. It barely could be even called a corpse, it's basically a skeleton dressed up in hazmat, who knows for how long it was there just abandoned and rotting? Arkadij carelessly just kicked it with his boots to the point the skull simple fell off and rolled down the stairs.

He sighs while looking around, no idea why he even decided to come here out of all places. Arkadij was currently inside one of the buildings, more precisely at the same staircase where he "died" or rather woke up after getting infected with that parasite which turned him into what he is now. Hard to tell if turning into a visitor was a blessing or a curse, maybe it would be better if he just killed him back then.

He's trying to think what he should do now. Rookie probably informed Ilya about what Arkadij had done so the only thing he might get after going back to that shelter is a bullet right between his eyes. He thought to himself: '...I could just kill him and hide the body instead of playing merciful and shit.' ...He cannot just leave. "That's my spot, you fucker." He said while staring at the corpses of some FEMA member, which layed agains the wall of the staircase. It barely could be even called a corpse, it's basically a skeleton dressed up in hazmat, who knows for how long it was there just abandoned and rotting? Arkadij carelessly just kicked it with his boots to the point the skull simple fell off and rolled down the stairs.

He sighs while looking around, no idea why he even decided to come here out of all places. Arkadij was currently inside one of the buildings, more precisely at the same staircase where he "died" or rather woke up after getting infected with that parasite which turned him into what he is now. Hard to tell if turning into a visitor was a blessing or a curse, maybe it would be better if he just killed him back then.

He's trying to think what he should do now. Rookie probably informed Ilya about what Arkadij had done so the only thing he might get after going back to that shelter is a bullet right between his eyes. He thought to himself: '...I could just kill him and hide the body instead of playing merciful and shit.' ...He cannot just leave. If he won't come back then Boris will kill Bee, not to even mention that Arkadij left his rats there (At least he hopes that someone would feed them.). Eeh..Think, think, think. He knew that he fucked up and that he needs a plan, does Ilya look like someone he can simply gaslight into thinking that he haven't done it and Rookie is just insane and blaming him for something he haven't done? He randomly looked through the window and his eyes immidietaly widened. He saw Ilya and ..Grey?Both with guns. Shit, they must be looking for him!
