[ cody christian, cis man, he/him ] - was that GREYSON KIDD i saw by the lighthouse today? i heard that the TWENTY-EIGHT year old who has been in nightrest for ON AND OFF HIS ENTIRE LIFE and works  as a/an DJ has a reputation of being PLAYFUL, but also STUBBORN. they reside in LOW POINT & people in town usually associate them with HEADPHONES HANGING ON HIS NECK, GOING HOME EARLY IN THE MORNING, PLAYFUL LAUGHTER. let’s hope the killer doesn’t go after them next.

BIOGRAPHY

Greyson Kidd, commonly known as Grey, wasn't the luckiest kid among the bunch. Though nobody at home raised their hand, a drunk for a father tarnished the Kidd name before Grey had a chance to do anything with it. It didn't matter how hard he tried, or anything to be honest, he was always grouped with his no-good father. With that said, Grey didn't spend long trying to prove something to the small town folk. It was obvious their opinion wouldn't change, so instead he focused on doing whatever he wanted. He has always been a fun person to be around. Always ready to include whoever, and never straying far from sharing a laugh with them. Maybe if he was a good enough comic relief people will look past his last name. When he was sixteen, Grey and two more friends thought of a prank that seemed innocent enough for their young minds, however the result was far from it, resulting with a tragic accident they never took credit for. Ever since he stays away from pranks, though his nature full of playfulness is still here. Maybe the fact he never had to take accountability for his actions helped keep it, even if every now and then he still has nightmares about that night.

after their prank, his mother and step-father sent him away to make sure he wouldn't be blamed for it. he came back after graduation.

when he was seventeen he found out about his half-sibling and how he sobered up to be there for their sibling, so holds quite a grudge toward his new family.

"You'd think third times a charm and it'll get people to leave, but doesn't look like it's happening." There was a part of Grey that didn't want to leave, with or without the people he loved, only because he didn't want to let some people who are very obviously sick in the head win. This is his hometown, the place he grew up in and one way or another shaped him, he had a hard time picturing leaving. But if this keeps happening maybe it's time to sit down and seriously reconsider. "I just don't get why these freaks prefer to made our lives living hell instead of just getting out of Nightrest."

He didn't understand the concept behind taking it out on people who don't have anything to do with someone's problems. So many people already dead for no reason and he was tired of it. He was so tired, he didn't even bat an eye when Catherine graced his TV screen with a brand new victim. "This is the new Nightrest," he sighed, he can't even remember what this town used to be months ago, he can't even describe what normal means anymore. "We just have to get used to it." He added with a shrug, he didn't like thinking this way, but it was impossible not to.

"sharknado was crazy" why would they even make six movies from that? that was the one thing she wanted to know. "can't forget Lavalantula as well. that movie creeped me out." that was the one movie she did not want to watch again. why anyone would even make a movie like that was beyond her. "i think there's a movie that can top sharknado. it's called zombie tidal wave."

"okay, hold up. what movies are you watching?" he questioned, his eyebrows furrowing. he's never even heard about whatever the hell lavalantula was, let alone sit down to watch it. "zombie tidal wave? no seriously, what movies are you watching?"

At Greyson’s response, K.P. nearly choked on their drink, quickly setting it down on the surface in front of them. “Oh dear god, don’t you dare,” they warned, waving a finger at him. “No, no, no. I’ve already seen that little fire bitch in action—don’t you dare sic her on me.” They grinned slightly. “Nobody wants to see that fight.”

"Oh, she's definitely kicking your ass." He chuckled picturing what that would look like. "Here's an idea, why don't you just use my girlfriend's name when you talk about her?" He raised a brow as he took another sip. "Then I won't have anything to snitch on."

"Fine," Fey said with a sigh and a roll of her eyes. It wasn't often Grey asked her for things, and the thought made her gaze soften slightly as she squeezed his hand back. "You're lucky you're cute," she added, smirking. "Far-fetched how? Just fill a tumbler with lighter fluid, throw it over her head then throw a lit match at her. Easy peasy," Fey said before narrowing her eyes at him. "Are you calling me a witch right now?" She asked him, then suddenly making a face with a satisfied expression. "Because thank you. I would have made a great witch," Fey added as she brushed her hair back over her shoulder. "Damn, you hate country that much?" She asked, snorting out a laugh. She found it cute, actually, because she hated that genre of music too. "Guess I should consider myself lucky you even came to the party then?" Fey teasingly asked, an eyebrow raising before she listened to him order, already knowing he'd get it right. "He should come see you," she muttered, letting go of his hand so she could straddle him, to be able to face him as they have this conversation, and also as an excuse just to be near him and run her hands through his hair. "You didn't do anything wrong, baby," Fey pointed out.

"As much as I like how revenge looks on you, I don't know if you'll be able to get out of setting someone on fire." Grey realized he's completely biased when it came to Fey, because he was sitting here hearing her talk about something so vile and yet it didn't make him feel any different about her. He knew how she can get, but he accepted it and sometimes dared to try and change her mind. "I hate country and I hate the person who gave the idea in first place," he doesn't usually care, but the amount of times his and Fey's names were in Rory's mouth annoyed him and very obviously rubbed him the wrong way. He can take all the crap from his friends, but there was a line that people were slowly starting to cross and his usual laid back demeanor was cracking underneath. "I don't know if we'll talk any time soon if I wait for him to show up," Grey was willing to go to Dom, he didn't want to let a friendship that's been going on for years to fall apart for something as stupid as this. "I already got too many people I've lost. I can't lose someone who's still here." His hand moved through her hair, running down her arm and resting on her leg. "Come on, food's gonna be here soon."

Dom couldn't hide the shock on his face when he opened his door and saw Grey on the other side. This just proved that his best friend was a much better man than him, because he was here, willing to talk, despite the fact that Dom had been the ass who threw the first punch. He felt an ache in his chest, because even this was a kindness he didn't really think he deserved, but was once again, grateful for. After all, he missed his friend. A whole damn lot. "If we're gonna talk, then we're gonna drink," Dom said, opening the door more and stepping aside so Grey could walk in. He could already feel himself start to feel defensive, because talking was not his strong suit, never has been, and he hadn't really prepared for this either, but he busied himself with getting them both drinks, reminding himself that Grey coming here had been the first step. He needed to make the next one. "How've you been?"

Out of every single person in Nightrest, Grey didn't expect to feel awkward around Dom. "Fine by me," he replied as he walked inside. He didn't know where or how to even start, but what he did know was he was going to be there for his friend, whether he was going to accept it or not. "I'm doing okay." His shoulders go up in a shrug, even though apparently the murders were starting again - really it felt like they never stopped to begin with - he was holding it together, he wanted to pretend it was him growing as a person, but truthfully he was becoming numb to all of it. There's only so much you can lose before it gets to a point where it doesn't even bother you anymore. "And how are you doing?"

"yeah, its a weird term." but he was right, it did sound like something one would hear about in movies. "I won't be surprised if someone were to make a movie on it. i mean someone did make a movie called sharknado." she pointed out.

"i don't think it'll make a very interesting movie." he points out, "and sharknado is just insane. how are there six movies?" granted he's only watched one of them, but that was more than enough for a lifetime.

"I don't think anyone's going to bat an eye." At least Grey would never think someone leaving has anything to do with what's happening in town. "I still wonder why we're sticking around here." He asked himself several times, but he knew he can't leave while there's people important to him here.

He can't help but laugh, chances of an isolated incident happening in Nightrest were extremely low. "It'd be nice if it is," he answered, taking another sip from his beer, "but we live in Nightrest and when's the last time any of this has been an actual incident?"

Aslan leans back in his seat as he listens to the track, nodding as he takes a good idea. "Is this one of Dante's stuff?" Just because he knows Dante's music very well and this had Dante written all over it. He can't remember the last time Grey told him he was working on music, so it's nice to see him doing that. "It sounds really good, man. How long have you been working on that?"

"Yeah, I went through some of his stuff and heard this." It was painful to think how it wasn't Dante showing him this and he won't be able to hear what he's done with the song, but somehow it was Grey's way of healing. "Before that wild west party. I was just listening to it and some ideas popped up. I might add something more, but I figured the world deserves one last song from him."

There was one thing Grey didn't expect to happen at Medusa and it was ending up in a fight with one of his best friends. It wasn't like they didn't have their disagreements, obviously they did, but it's never escalated to the point where either of them starts swinging. He was angry with Dom, and it wasn't even about the almost healed bruises he was still sporting. He didn't care he went out of his way to agree with horse girl. What he cared about was his friend and how he saw there was something happening, he just thought eventually he'd be ready to share if he needed it. Grey didn't want to be pushy, but by the looks of it he should have been. With a heavy knock on his door, Grey moved to the side waiting - hoping, Dom would open. "Do you want to talk or punch me again?" There was a small smile on Grey's face when the door opened, but it fell just as quickly as it appeared.

They nodded slowly, taking a long sip from the drink of their own. "Ditto." K.P. let out a sigh. The fallout of the engagement party was still fresh in their mind, but they were sick of thinking about it. They couldn't go anywhere without a book reminding them of Julia, without music reminding them of Dante. God, Dante. They shook their head, grin returning at Greyson's joke. "Not at all, idiot. Go get that hellspawn."

It will take a long time before Grey admits it out loud, but he was slowly accepting and enjoying his time spent with K.P. Who knows maybe one day he'd tell it to their face, but for now, this was enough. "You know what, I should start recording all these cute little nicknames and see what Fey thinks about them." He raised a brow, bringing the glass back to his lips for another sip. "Then none of us are safe."

"Seems like the latter. Who else would have so much hated for Jake or his family?" Jaziel had thought about it for a while that morning, and it made perfect sense. "Jake killed Adee, and whoever was in cahoots with her seems to finally be stepping up and taking revenge against him through his mom. Who's to say Charlotte and Sarah won't be next?. . . it's the only thing that makes sense as scary as it sounds." Jaz didn't for a moment believe that the murders were done with Adee's demise. Despite the silence since, none of the evidence lined up to it being just her, and there was nothing pointing at Jacob either.

"So we're back to square one. Nice." Grey rolled his eyes, he tried to be optimistic thinking Adee's death would end everything, but he was wrong apparently. "Or who's to say it isn't someone who had nothing to do with her?" Was it that far-fetched that Nightrest just has a knack for serial killers now? He wouldn't be surprised if psychopaths see the small town as a hunting range at this point. "There's no point trying to guess," he let out a dry laugh, "couldn't figure it out before, doubt we will this time around."

Fey's eyes stayed narrowed as her boyfriend talked, especially when he told her to just leave it. When has she ever done that? When will she ever do that? "It's like you don't even know me," she muttered, but she'll reluctantly drop it. For now. "Because June's a little fucking cockroach with the personality and look of a sad, pathetic hobo and I'm not gonna stop until I squish her under my heels," Fey said, eyes blazing with sick amusement. The audacity of some people to lay hands on her like that in her own club. As if she was going to let that whole thing slide. As if Feyza ever forgot her grudges. As if she didn't have all the money in the world to continue messing with whichever bitch wanted to try her. "Next time I see her in Medusa, I'm giving her the bull treatment. Aka, setting her on fire this time. It's what that bitch deserves," she muttered. "I can not believe you just told me 'I told you so'," Fey said, looking at Grey with a shocked expression. "I should make you eat my cooking, just for that," she added as she glared at him, but her gaze softened as she leaned back against the headboard of the bed, hand still holding on tightly to his. This felt... normal, kind of. Like they finally had a chance to just do couple stuff without wondering about who they were going to lose next, because he was right, they all lost a lot already. Buried too many friends. "Burgers and milkshakes sound good. You already got my order?" Fey asked, looking at him expectantly. "Have you talked to Dom since?"

"That's why I'm asking you to," he added, giving her hand a light squeeze. He knew Dom, they'd been through enough together and he liked to believe that he wouldn't break out in a fight with him out of the blue. He slowly nodded his head while he listened to Fey spew off about June, his eyes somehow glinting with amusement. Leave it up to him to be smitten when the conversation prompted everything but. "Ouch, isn't setting her on fire a little far-fetched? Or are you trying to keep it on theme with halloween approaching?" He tried to throw in a joke, aware it could backfire, but at least he could try to slowly get her mind away from June. "Baby, I'd eat your cooking way before I go to another wild west party willingly." He grinned, he knew he was probably exaggerating his hatred for country, but it was too late to back down now. "Are you trying to test me right now?" He narrowed his eyes, but he still had a smile splayed over his face. He nudged her leg playfully before he reached for his phone to place their order. "No," he shook his head before he sighed. "Some space felt like a good thing so we can both calm down. But I should probably go see him."

"an earthquake and a hurricane happening at the same time on the west coast. that is crazy." she noted as she took a sip from her coke. who would have even thought it would have happened. part of her was glad though that she didn't live out there. "some people are apparently calling it a hurriquake now." it made sense to call it that. even if the word wasn't real.

"hurriquake?" he questioned, he can't and doesn't want to imagine how that went. "sounds like something you'll hear in movies. can't say we don't deserve it lowkey."
