Winter was in the middle of town along the main road, she had a small keyboard set up and a sign. One of the families of the children she was working with through her musical therapy group had lost their home to a fire, and she wanted to help out in anyway she could. The child was playing on the keyboard and she was holding a basket explaining the situation asking for donations. She smiled at the next person who came to her basket and held it up, “Hi, would it be too much trouble to ask for a few spare coins if you can help out?”
Elena was making her way to the store, she needed some basics for baking which is when she came across Winter and the child playing the piano. She watched the child play in utter silence for a moment--before she looked to Winter and smiled. Her lips twitched upwards and she nodded. “I--yeah I don’t see why not.” she said pulling out her wallet. “When did the fire happen?” she asked, curious on how the kid was holding up since it happened. She pulled out a $100 and dropped it into the basket.
