1. I agree he and kuch should spend the summer together 🫶

2. so cute that it's a canon TBL mechanic that if a player is struggling they can get summer lessons at Kuch University to improve their game

3. fic idea where point goes to practice w kucherov in the summer and it's super awkward at first, he's never done this before and it's him and a rotation of like, dominic james and declan carlile and gonzo. and kuch is basically just ignoring him. or trying to get him to play the same mentor role as kuch in their drills w the youngins. either way point is not getting the practice he was hoping for and so he assumes it's bc kuch is just over him and would rather focus on future talents than his washed ex-center.

when he tries to talk to kuch about it he gets weirdly cold-shouldered in a way that was happening during the season too. eventually point blows up and is like 'ok I know I suck but I don't wanna get traded and I don't want my career to be over so fucking HELP ME' and kuch is like 'I'm not helping you bc you don't NEED help'

point is like. wowowow. cute.... but also 'no I really do need help and we need to stop being in denial about it' and then the work rly begins. kuch sees that point's game isn't working and they DO need to work on it. from there they slowly improve until they have a great sesh where everything's clicking like the old days. and then they kiss

Riffing on your ending, I think it would be hilarious if Bagel knows exactly why Pointer is being such a bitch lately and even hams it up a little bit even though everything with kuch is strictly casual. Pointer, with his working moral compass, doesn’t want to take it out on him since he knows it’s his fault for not acting on his feelings sooner. Cue some kind of last straw (kuch pulls bagel aside in the locker room to cordially end things and brayden is like, not in front of my fucking salad?) and pointer finally snaps, lots of angry yelling of feelings (don’t save kuch, he’s exactly where he wants to be) and all is resolved. Hagel offers to be their third. It is not well received.

listen I too am on the kuch/point agenda and I have this evil fic idea in my head where bagel is all messed up over cirelli (or whoever really) and kuch is all messed up over pointer and so what can you do but f*** nasty with your situationship’s twin about it until the uninvolved parties notice and get jealous/intervene…alas I have been cursed with zero smut writing skills. But I had to let you know you weren’t alone.

i started stewing over this to decide if i could attempt writing it. now i'm curious if you had a completely different angle in mind

gotta be hagel pov. i like the idea of each pairing having a different dynamic from each other. so maybe hagel and cirelli actually do hook up sometimes but it's rare and casual. meanwhile kuch and point are not even close to anything except that tony and bagel sometimes like to bother point very 'nikita and brayden sitting in a tree'-style bc they're annoying and it makes point embarrassed. obviously they are scared of kucherov so they don't say shit to him even when he's being a simp.

so hagel and kuch end up alone at the hotel bar at the end of the night or something? cirelli is home injured or maybe met someone that night and is with them(i like this idea better), and point went back to his room super early bc he's a good boy. kuch is like crazy drunk and being weirdly touchy/nice to hagel and then he straight up calls him brayden accidentally and hagel is like OHHHH (kuch is not actually SO drunk that he genuinely thinks hagel is pointer but it's dark and his brain-to-mouth pipeline is not clear)

definitely specifically a bit where hagel is weighing the pros and cons of this tryst and thinks to himself it's kucherov. (you could really write about anyone banging kucherov applying this logic.) so he goes back to kuch's room and i think they'd have a good time. hagel would be surprised at how sweet kuch is about it, like, petting his hair nicely and giving a lot of praise. and he was always kind of half-joking about kuch having a crush on pointer so this is like. wow. turns out dude really is pining.

i'm really amused at the idea of hagel just straight up texting cirelli after like hooked up with kuch. lol so that's how he finds out. point is, idk, i guess in the next room and maybe sees hagel leaving and has to pretend to act cool about it bc he is the resident sweetie-- WAIT correlate this with how he HAS seemed moody lately and got into his second(???) ever career fight w that buffalo guy a few weeks back. oh moody brayden i love you
