“Lady Satsuki, it appears as if something different has appeared in the city. Should we investigate?”
“Do not be concerned. I will personally see to this disturbance.”
It didn’t take long for the sun to break the horizon. She had made sure everything was in order before she left. From what the monitors picked up, it was nothing more than large piles of metal, in very odd shapes, then again, she wanted to get a more up close and personal look at this. There shouldn’t be anything in her city that would result in metal that large.
Her heel clicked as she stepped out of the vehicle and eyed the rubbish pile. There were clear signs of someone invading the area, the freshly used fire pit, stray marks in the soil, and then the dents in the scraps themselves. “Show yourself!” She called out not bothering to beat around the bush.
By the time the sun started to rise, the team of five laid scattered across the open area of the scrapyard, resting to replenish their energy for today, but it would soon become cut short. Upon hearing the echo of a nearby human, the jig was up.
“Gah! We’re caught! Game over, man! Game over!” Swoop shot awake as he toppled off the discarded trailer he was recharging on top of, only to have his mouth covered by Snarl’s hand.
“Shhh...!” The Stego-mech shushed as he looked around, tracing the sound to the entrance as the five used the mounds of scrap to keep their large forms hidden. “Grimlock, what now!” He whispered, keeping Swoop’s mouth covered in case he were to spill their cover further.
Grimlock clenched the hilt of his blade tightly, ready to deploy the rest of the blade before he used his foot to slowly slide a broken mirror to just the right position to where he and Sludge could see who it was at the entrance. At that moment, the hilt was tucked away into his gauntlet.
“Grimlock have idea.” He exclaimed, transforming into his alternate form of a Tyrannosaurus while the others followed suit - Swoop as a Pteranodon, Sludge being an Apatosaurus, Snarl as a Stegosaurus, and Slug as a Triceratops. At that moment, they kept themselves absolutely still, some laying on their side or altering their position slightly while also putting scraps of metal and wires on them to make them look like broken down animatronics.
However, upon hiding, Sludge’s massive tail slapped against the wall of scrap hiding them, sending it toppling down to expose the team. However, they kept the disguise, hoping she’d just think what they were hoping she’d think. “Don’t...move...” Grimlock whispered behind gritted teeth.
