In case anyone is wondering...
Yes, I have been doing art, but they were commissions that won't be shared until after the project is complete. Unfortunately, I feel that I am not quite at the right point in time to do any more commissions for a long time. How soon I open them up depends on two things: How much personal time I will be able to have each day and whether or not I can somehow establish some consistency with it. But a huge one is personal health. I found out, just before Christmas, that I am pre-diabetic. I had bloodwork done because there was slight scarring in my eye and it was good cause for alarm. That's one of the early warning signs. I don't want to lose my eyesight or my limbs, or get to the point when it's too late to do anything about it, and I want to make it to at least 80. So, I'm giving the threat of diabetes a big F*** Y*** by eating better and exercising regularly, and so far it has been working beautifully. I am down by 20 lbs this month! Low carbs, no added sugar, and low sodium + 150 hours a week of cardio. Walk, jog, something that involves a lot of physical movement of that sort. It's not expensive. I actually spend less on groceries now than I did before. It's not some weird, crazy diet. It's just common sense and very strong willpower.
Anyway, yeah. That's been one of the high priorities for me at the moment. I keep doodling from time to time and that helps. I've also been trying to get through my collection of crafting material by making things out of them finally. Maybe by September, if I successfully get down to a nice healthy size, I'll use it to make a costume for this year's convention. :D And I'll be able to fit my kilt again! Yay!
