God, I would give anything for season 2 to happen. Everyone was so excited when it was renewed, they were ready to continue the story. There were so many loose ends let along Grizz and Sam’s story.

Maybe if we all bug Netflix…we can hope, right?

It took Grizz a few moments to catch on to what was going on, having looked away himself whilst talking. “Oh. Oh, man, I’m so sorry, I didn’t realise —” He cut himself off, realising he was just doing the exact same thing again. Slow down. “Uh… yes. Yeah, I did, Gloves.” Grizz nodded, getting back on track, trying to be more thoughtful. Standing up to retrieve them, he held the pair out to the stranger, making sure to face him this time, annunciating his words. “Only if you want to?”

Sam waved a hand, dismissing his apology. He was used to the reaction by now, but from someone as seemingly as jock-ish as this, Sam found it more amusing than usual. He didn’t expect him to get so flustered, or be so sincere in apologising. “It’s fine.” As the gloves were offered to him, he smiled in interest, nodding once before pulling them on. “Okay. But I’ve never done this before, you’ll have to show me,” he stopped signing, now that the guy was aware. It wasn’t as if he understood the language, anyway.

a dwindling, mercurial high

"Grizz felt the stirrings of a familiar longing beneath his ribcage, of feelings neglected and ignored so often and for so long that sometimes he wonders how they haven’t died of drought. Perhaps hope really does spring eternal.

Usually, this longing, this ache, is faceless by nature. More of a general yearning for a world that’s not quite his and a future that he can pin his hopes on. Something to tell the restlessness in his chest: settle down, be patient, your time will come.

This time though? The feeling has soft red hair and piercing blue eyes and a smile that transcends any language barrier imaginable. The feeling sounds like the thumping bass at prom, of a butchered attempt at connection before their world was upended for the second time in as many weeks. The feeling no longer wants to be patient, insists that fortune favors the bold and that he can’t be seen if he keeps hiding away from anyone who might try."
