I don't get how people are happy about the ending of the finale, that shit was fucked. Just cause it was a positive moment, doesn't mean it was a good thing, like it was Morty genuinely trying to escape the cycle of abuse and neglect, failing and finding comfort in his abuser.

It's basically the equivalent of Morty grabbing the bomb with the sympathid in but we the viewers are the ones with the sympathid, blinded by the feeling of a warm moment to recognize that we're holding onto an emotional bomb
