Occasionally we are revisited by trainers that received their starter from this lab. This Grookey was bred before I ever made landfall in Galar and didn’t get too close to me, but it remembered the Professor well enough. With a bit of instruction from its trainer and a bribe, it sat still long enough for the Professor to assess its growth and for me to quickly draw it.
Fun fact: A Grookey’s stick is used primarily for communicating over long distances with other troop members. Another, lesser known use for the stick is as a projectile weapon, hurled forcefully at whatever unfortunate soul has to administer its yearly booster shot. It’s super effective.

as for me, my name is stellar, they/them, main blog @ultimatestellar, and ive loved chimchar ever since i played pokemon platinum!! it was my first or second pokemon game (its hard to remember that far back) and this little monkey guy had my heart at first sight.
i named my first chimchar flare blitz and i gave him as much love and training as i could. i remember obsessivey trying to find my little monkey friend in any other pokemon game i played, and repeating his fight in pokepark wii over and over again.
it didnt take long for me to notice how criminally underrated this little guy is, so heres my attempt at collecting whatever content i can to give my favorite starter the attention that he deserves!! queue posts 2 times a day as of now, and i refilled it right before posting this.
