Blathers’ Theory of Evolution

When I saw that Groucho was moving to my island, I looked up his info and didn’t think I’d like him. But I’ve had him for a while now, and I love him more than anything! He’s the island dad. He gave me his framed photo for the first time today and I cried

omg I want his framed photo so bad !! I love him so much, he's wonderful. when he was in my acnl town I didn't think I'd like him much either but I fell in love with him. he's a wonderful little guy and I love him very much !!

And today’s second birthday goes to…NAT!

Flick’s dad and the original Bug-Off runner, Nat gave his son a love of bugs and nature. The two have a strained relationship, because Nat eats bugs rather than honoring the swarm, but they still love each other quite a bit, and Nat is fully supportive of Flick!

We’re all hoping that one day, perhaps for a special event, Flick brings his dad to visit the island! It would be lovely to see this old man again at least once and tell him how much we love his son. (And teach him the ways of the Swarm.)

FUN FACT: Nat’s name is the initials for Nigel Archibald Thornberry, from the Wild Thornberrys! To continue the reference, Nat often says “Smashing” and wears very similar clothes.
