OOC: blog is moving!
Currently this is a secondary blog; a few weeks ago I made a new main blog so I could follow back and send asks. Now I am just going to move everything over to the main because it's just easier that way and I was being dumb about it before. I'll still be using this url and tracking the same tag. A bunch of y'all are already following the new blog so... this shouldn't be too confusing, I hope?
okay, off to switch everything over. then replies!

{Quentin! Quentin help me! Something is stuck in my roots and I can’t get it out and now it’s vibrating!}
{How in the world did a phone get stuck in your roots? Should I come down with a shovel?}
{I’m holding it out of the ground now. I don’t know what it is or where it came from but it came flying really fast and now it’s stuck to me!}
{I’ll be right down. It’s just a phone, Krakoa, nothing terrible. Try throwing it back?}
*flails the root wildly*
{Oh good, it fell off. Thank you, Quentin! Maybe you can find out who it belongs to?}

((OOC: I know I owe another reply to bamfsback, but if I owe anyone else I must have lost track of the thread. so if you know I owe you and you want to resume the thread, please let me know.))
Happy Earth Day, Krakoa! *gives him a bag of fertilizer with a bow on top*
{Thank you, Quentin! You are such a good friend!}
Krakoa poked his head out of the ground and happily gobbled up the entire bag, bow and all.
{Fish emulsion! My favorite!}

(I am well! Is the rain refreshing to you, too?
Most of your classmates leave the flowers alone. But the Globby boy and the boy made of rocks keep trampling them, even the thorny ones! Would Headmaster Logan mind if I grab them by the ankles and shake them around next time?)
(The rain is a nice change.Â
Globby? Logan might mind if you shake him around, but what’s he going to do? Give you detention? I say go for the shaking, if not I’ll make sure he punches himself in the face for that later. )
The ground rumbled with Krakoa's giggle at the idea of Glob punching himself in the face.
But something worried him. Most of the students seemed to dread this "detention" even more than they worried about the school getting attacked again, so it must be a very bad thing.
(What happens in detention, Quentin? Are there... electric shocks?) That was the worst punishment he knew about, and shaking Glob by the ankles certainly wouldn't be worth it.

Gods…those apples looked delicious. They were ripened to perfection. Sleipnir could not resist trying one. So he trotted over and picked an apple off the ground with his teeth and chewed. They were amazing. So he had another…and another…and another.Â
“Who are you?”
Krakoa was pleased that the apples were enjoyed so much. He had no way of knowing if his visitor could communicate telepathically, but he tried anyway.
(Hello! I am Krakoa. Who are you?)
Two giant red eyes peeked cautiously out of the ground nearby.

The ground shifted around the eyes, forming a little hill of a head. At first the head turned side to side slowly. Krakoa couldn’t think of anything wrong.
Then he remembered. He hated it when the leftover cleaning fluids got dumped on him after the floors of the school were mopped. Krakoa nodded his hill-head emphatically, shaking the sapling as he tried to figure out how to communicate what was wrong. He wished there was a telepath here to act as an interpreter, but he supposed they must all be busy with more urgent matters.
After a moment of internal rearranging, Krakoa produced a little ooze of mud mixed with what looked like soap suds.
She watched in fascination as the small oozy patch showed up..and then frowned at the ..soap suds?  That’s what it looked like at least.  She reached out and tentatively swiped her forefinger through the muck and rubbed it between finger and thumb…yeah, it was definitely slick and sudsy.  ”Is there a leak or something that’s polluting you, Krakoa?  That’s no good. Not good on general principle, let alone your heath, hon.” Â
She pulled water from the air into a small globe that hovered before her, and pulled a sample baggie from a back pocket.  She scooped up more of the ooze and then rinsed her fingers within the globe, which turned murky and had a rainbow sheen over the surface…and then directed it into the baggie neatly before sealing it up.  ”I’ll analyze this..but…would you be able to tell me where the source is?  I’m sure you’d rather that I not just go digging, my friend.” Â
Krakoa thought for a long moment about how to communicate the source of the problem. Working carefully, he grew a tall, spindly tree with clusters of leaves at the tips of the branches. Next to it he raised a ring of earth about a foot high. One of the new tree's branches bent down and dipped into the "bucket" before dragging across the ground. The branch sprang back into place as the dirt shifted its form to show the bucket now tipped over. He hoped she would understand.

He took the nodding maple tree as a yes.Â
Finn watched as the iron ore emerged from the soil and grinned. “Woah, dude!” He lifted the pile up and magnetized it together letting the ball drop into his hand. This would come in handy when it came to fine tuning his abilities. Throwing street lamps and fire hydrants was all well and good but it’d be smart to try and develop things past that.Â
“Cheers, pal.” Honestly Krakoa seemed pretty chill, but he wasn’t overly sure how conversations with sentient gardens went. “So, you doing good?…”
Krakoa watched intently, eyes hidden in some nearby bushes, as Finn pulled the raw ore into a metal ball. He loved watching the other mutants use their powers-- provided they didn't blow holes in the ground or rip up the flower gardens, of course.
Proper conversation wasn't very possible for Krakoa without a telepath around, considering he lacked a tongue and had never been taught about written language. But he tried his best, sprouting up a scattering of wildflowers to say that yes, he was perfectly happy.

Krakoa gave a quiet rumble in reply to his question. Then the freshly grown herbs separated into two clumps as he watched. In the empty space between them, two large red eyes peeked up, looking back at Tommy.
Tommy stifled a scream and fell onto his ass. “Oh my god.” Tommy’s scream turned to a laugh, “You startled me big guy. I suppose I should introduce myself. I’m Thomas Shepherd, grandson to Magneto.” He smiled, hoping that the school grounds wouldn’t eat him.
Seeing Tommy falling, Krakoa quickly grew a layer of moss to cushion the landing. If it had been Magneto wandering the grounds rather than his grandson, he might well have gobbled him up. But Tommy he saw as a new friend. Krakoa's grandfather had been a villain too, so he felt he had something in common with the young speedster: they were complicated.
Krakoa blinked a few times, concentrating. After a moment, a "snowman" made of dirt and roots emerged from ground. It had a shiny helmet and a very grumpy frown.

Kurt watches the vine grow with the same deeply amused expression he’s had on the entire time. His tail comes around to touch the flower, very gently, but Kurt doesn’t pull it free. It seems like that would be rude, given it’s a part of the being he’s currently talking to, and beyond that was made apparently exclusively with him in mind. “Is this a Nightcrawler flower, then?” He asks, amused, very gently exploring the blossom with the tip of his tail before leaving it be. “It is beautiful. You have quite a talent, mein Freund.I hope it smells a bit better than I do, though. Sulfur is barely becoming for a man, let alone a flower.”
The elf starts to try to climb a little higher in the tree, feet and hands light, as if seeking the sunlight. “Have you been enjoying the warmer temperature? I have always liked the sunlight, when the temperature is mild. I may have such an affinity for darkness from my mutation, but still…the sun is a blessed thing. It must feel better to plants!”
The vine bobbed up and down, nodding that it had indeed grown a Nightcrawler blossom. Krakoa had intended the flower as a gift, but communicating with the non-telepathic mutants was tricky. After Kurt drops the flower and begins climbing, two thin branches pinch together sharply around the vine, severing it neatly, and the vine's clipped end curls around the stem.
Meanwhile, the treetop reshapes, forming dense cushions of leaves roughly in the shape of a beach chair. The vine drops the cut blossom on the seat of the "chair" and then weaves into the backrest before re-sprouting an identical flower. Elsewhere on the grounds, a bubble of sulfurous gas escapes from a fissure in the caves, causing Krakoa to feel distinctly self-conscious and frantically grow an herb garden to mask the scent.
