...What if-
Someone threw a party?Â
I-I Donât think Iâd be any good⊠but⊠We need a bit more life around here⊠r-right?
A party sounds great! With a little dancing and music.
What do people actually do on "Halloween"?
Well not literally, but they might pull tricks on you⊠I got this old book from the library saying you had to wear masks, or you might be invaded by evil spirits!
Spirits like, dead people?Â
that doesn't sound fun at all!
What do people actually do on "Halloween"?
But heâs really smart, and has been living with the humans for a while!Â
If thereâs candy and costumes we should totally dress-up! I heard you say something like âTrick or Treatâ.
You ask people to trick you? That sounds kinda weird......
What do people actually do on "Halloween"?
Uhhhh! Prim, Iâm actually not quite sure⊠Maybe we could ask Mach if we could borrow a book?
But he's a fairy too. Maybe he wont know either!Â
But I heard there's candy and costumes
A new life, I guess.
Fun, same for me. I guess Fae is a place of new beginnings huh?
Just you is perfectly fine.
I.....thanks
A few weeks ago.
Oh, wow. So relatively new still then? What brought you to Fae?
What do people actually do on "Halloween"?
Pleasure to meet you, Primrose. Iâm Resa, Iâm new to town.
Nice to meet you too. When did you get into town?
A Little Help from My Friends || Mach, Prim, Marina
Mach hurried down the steps, cautious of hitting Marinaâs head or tail on anything. Making his way toward his car, he bit his lip, paranoid of humans. The old vehicle had been a friend paying off a debt, so Mach didnât expect much when he had gotten a message he was getting a car. But it was actually in pretty great shape. Mach cocked his hip toward Prim. âLeft pocket.â he said. Once the door was open, he laid Marina carefully down along the back seat, then got into the drivers seat. âcalm her down prim, sheâs losing blood.â he yelled to prim, his shirt a deep red in contrast to itâs original blue color.Â
Primrose slid into the seat behind Machiavelli and laid Marina's head in her lap. Stroking her hair away from her face she spoke to the mermaid as soothingly as she could "It's alright Marina you're going to be fine. When this is all over you and me will sit around the living room back home and watch horrible t.v. and drink some nice tea." Still stroking her friend calmly Prim looked out the window trying to see where Mach was taking them. he said it wouldn't be long but she knew that to Marina every second would seem like longer.Â
A Little Help from My Friends || Mach, Prim, Marina
From all the blood loss, Marina would soon become unconcious. So Mach wound layers of bandages as tightly as he could, now at least closing the gap between the gauze and the wound. This way, the blood would at least stop. âCalm down, Marina youâre going to be fine.â he instructed softly. To avoid suspicion of the humans, Mach took a light blanket and covered Marina in it, wrapping it around her fin and tail. He lifted her, one arm around her back, the other hooked under the joint of her tail. âI have a car outside. Itâs a 5 minute drive, I promise.â he said soothingly.Â
Gripping Marina's had tightly Prim rose off the couch as Mach lifted her and hurried with them towards the door. She let go of her friends hand to reach over and grab the bag they kept by the door with a spare dress in case Marina ever found herself pantless because of rain or some other incident. hurrying to the door she held it open for Mach sticking her head outside to check for people. "Five minutes! You hear that Marina in just five short minutes you'll be perfectly fine and good as new!"Â
As they made their way down to the car Prim kept looking around them to be sure they were alone. Once outside she turned to Mach "Which pocket are your keys in? I'll get the doors."
Welcome Home - Prim & Gabe
He suddenly look relieved. âPrim, itâs fine donât even worry about it. I just.. you have no idea h-how relieved I am.â He gave her a warm smile as he continued to  stroke her hair, he felt a lot calmer now. He was relaxed, he wasnât being abandoned not by her, he couldnât and wouldnât allow that to happen.
He turned his head to the bush and grinned slightly. âSilly girl. Come here.â Her wrapped his arms around her waist and very effortlessly picked her up. âYou donât have to make it go away, we can quite simply walk around it.â He very calmly and easily started to walk the way around the thorn bush. Until he gave her quite a sympathetic look. âAnd, you donât even need to breath a word of any of the other stuff to me, okay?â He tried to give her a warm smile, clearly he would know when she was thinking about something like that just like Reyna could tell when someone was thinking about something, or upset. It was sort of adorable how he knew, he didnât even question it.
Prim wrapped her arms around his neck holding on tight. She returned his smile slowly before closing her eyes and pressing her forehead to his. "Thank you, thank you so much." From where he held her up Prim could easily reach his hair and twirled her fingers in between the curls.
She sighed thinking of all the things he didn't know that she couldn't talk about. If they kept on this path she didn't see how he wouldn't find out. Eventually he was bound to ask her about her parents, and she would tell him what her father had done to them. What she planned to do to him in return. But not today, she couldn't stand to see him find that out today. Leaning away from him Prim gave him a small smile before looking around at their surroundings. "Gabe," she asked softy "can we go somewhere else? I don't want to be here anymore."
A Little Help from My Friends || Mach, Prim, Marina
Mach tried to to work as quickly as possible, for both the reasons being: A) He didnât want Marina to bleed out. and B) He wasnât keen on the sight of blood. Though just as he had pulled out bandaging, a large tail was flapping this way and that. Mach yelped, as the bounding and towels ripped from the sudden size increase. âPrim! You need to hold down Marinaâs tail so I can wrap her up! I can take her to a fountain. The water is magic, it can heal Marinaâs fin.â he said quickly, putting on latex gloves. The danger was much more severe, in fear of a scale entering her tissue.Â
Prim's eyes widened in shock when Marina's tail appeared in front of her. Not only had she never seen her friend's tail but she hadn't been expecting it to suddenly appear in the middle of their livingroom. "Oh my- Okay okay now what?" She asked gripping the tail tight trying to hold it still. Looking at her friend's face she started when she saw Marina's eyes were closed afraid that she had fainted. "Marina, Marina stay awake honey okay?"
A Little Help from My Friends || Mach, Prim, Marina
Mach wasnât exactly a doctor.. but reading so many books about species, especially mermaids was something he did most of his time. Coming over, he placed down a medical first aid kit he had brought down as he brought a chair over to Marina. âPrim? I need Marina to calm down a bit, so her heart doesnât pump blood as fast. Do you think you could make her some tea and try and distract her?â he asked, opening his kit. He took out some fresh towels and peeled away the dirtied ones, placing the fresh ones tightly against the wound and bounding them with medical tape for the time being. âI have to get rid of these pants, or else you can contaminate the open wound.â he warned her, bringing a pair of scissors to her pants, and begining to clip up along her leg.Â
"Yes, tea sure." She tried to keep her voice even and calm as she strode into the kitchen to prepare the tea. Glancing over her should Prim gave Marina a smile trying to let her know that everything was going to be fine. After all, Mach was here now and he knew things. More things than anyone else. Taking the boiling water from the microwave she carefully poured it into her roommate's favorite mug and added the tea bag. When it was ready she walked slowly back into the other room and sat again at her friend's elbow handing her the mug. "So, Marina," She smiled down at the mermaid hoping to distract her like Mach had said "I was thinking maybe we should repaint this room. The white is just so....plain. Maybe a nice blue. Like the sky with no clouds."
A Little Help from My Friends || Mach, Prim, Marina
Mach closed the brightly colored childrens book in his hands and smiled down at the young faces surrounding him. âAlright kids, thats all the time we have, go on and meet your mums and dads downstairs.â he smiled, though internally he was worried. At least Prim and Marina had enough sense not to go to the doctors. Excusing himself from work, Mach went to his car and started it up, driving across town to Marinaâs apartment. Catching the door as someone left, he jogged up the stairs and knocked on the door. âgirls? Itâs Mach.â he said.Â
Hearing the knock at the door Prim looked up from Marina's leg. "Oh good he's here! COMING!" She raised her voice so it would travel through their thick door. Tying up the towels tightly she patted Marina's hand before jogging the short distance to the door. Opening it quickly she smiled up at Mach. "Thank you so much for coming we didn't know what to do." Leading him over to her friend Primrose sat on the arm of Marina's chair hovering and looking from one face to the other.
Uhm⊠What if it were bleeding a lot?
We use towels to apply pressure!
She ran to the bathroom to retrieve towels and began wrapping them around the bloody area tightly
