patron saint and fierce protector of outwardly grandiose egotistical characters with a fucked sense of self and weird thought processes and doubtly so if the fandom either hates them for it or completely ignores that part of their characterization in order to make them more palatable to themselves no one gets them like I do its us against the world (doesn't always apply to pfp this was about Ranpo bsd originally but also a Lot of others too.. So.... Perhaps...... If we imagine..........)

We are the growlings please feed us . There was a link here which we deleted cause it's not up to our Standards. Also we now tag posts relating to us or generally more helpful with explaining stuff we have/are like (ex. disability-wise) that we either don't want to or can't fit in a pinned but still see as fairly important as "#growling tag". More silly stuff too cause like why not. I love convenience
-> alterhuman; plural collective/system, and physically nonhuman (fictionkind, holothere, complicated therian).
-> we use "I" very loosely.
-> Call us Growl, Growling or Clowder on here. Unless you're talking to a specific headmate
-> Pluralgender & intergender gnc transfem. Collectively
-> ona/jej, on/jego, ono/jego (PL), it/its or shi/hir (ENG), neutral/non-gendered terms. Mostly
-> we do headmate sign offs so occassionally you'll know if above don't apply. Maybe (edit: this was a falsehood)
-> I AM NOT AMERICAN. I AM NOT AMERICAN. I AM. NOT. AMERICAN!!!!!! NOT A NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKER EITHERR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAA
Fandoms, fixations, and special interests include, in loose order of intensity: Master Detective Archives: Rain Code, Your Turn to Die, Umamusume: Pretty Derby, Tribe Nine, Ghost Trick, Warriors (cats), Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul, Bungou Stray Dogs, cat coat color genetics, Project: Eden's Garden, Akuma Kun, ZENO remake, My Little Pony, Danganronpa, Mouthwashing, Henry Stickmin.
I don't have a "DNI" (we find them ineffective and just stupid as a concept; especially "basic DNI criteria" which is not only virtue signalling but also does not even mean anything) and probably won't check yours either if it's not easily accessible, ex. I won't click on a carrd link or read your entire several-paragraph pinned post under a cut unless I'm REALLY interested in your blog.
I don't tag a lot of stuff (either I forget or don't know how, usually forget), but generally warnings are tagged in the "cw (thing)" format. Oh and "#alfie don't look" is intented for a mutual but it is also for everything transphobia related (if I don't forget to do that. I forget often) so you can also block that too.
I literally could never be mad at people for "spam liking/reblogging" my stuff tagging me on things or sending me too much asks It Is Fine I thrive on attention and I'm a very very friendly and chill cat please put your fingers through the bars of my inbox. And while I love receiving them I might take a long while to answer or will not know what to say other than a ":3". If my response sounds dry or cold or anything like that then it doesn't mean that I'm mad at you (I probably just had trouble with articulation or a bad case of Very Tired as is typical)
Neurodevelopmentally + physically disabled, stigmatized mental disorders Georg. My brain works differently than yours probably does, I am usually tired and disoriented/confused, very bad with articulating and will often write things in a kind of incomprehensible way, give you very short answers, take very long to do that, or not answer you at all (you can remind if you want) because of my semiverbality and disorganized thoughts also applying to written words, it doesn't mean I'm ignoring you.
I find it hard to talk about anything other than my special interests or hyperfixations, it doesn't mean that I don't care about anything else it's just difficult for me to talk about other topics. We got trouble with knowing when conversations are over, and also don't pick up on social cues or subtle signs (or, when we're trying to "compensate" for it, we end up inventing hidden signs or cues that simply are not there cause we just. Really genuinely don't get how any of this works unless a miracle happens), don't assume we're trying to be rude or offensive on purpose, we just communicate differently and will need you to state it explicitly if you are upset with me about anything or need me to do something, I wouldn't realize otherwise.
I get confused pretty easily and will probably not discuss more "complex" matters unrelated to my hyperfixations and/or special interests (like politics, some discourse, invitations to "debate" you on something etc.) with you so don't bother bringing those up. Similiarly, I may ask you to rephrase something if your wording was too complicated/difficult for me to understand, or to have something clarified or explained in very simple terms. If even then I won't understand and leave the discussion, it's nothing personal.
I will also probably not read your sarcasm or know if you're telling a lie/misinformation as a joke, unless I know you and already memorized all your speech patterns or something. Do not approach me with any sort of teasing, playful rudeness, or "joke" insults, I will not take it the way you intended, and I actually hate how normalized it is now to just "ironically" be mean to strangers on the internet.
I'm not that empathetic/sympathetic, and my tone may be off or I may come off as uncaring/tactless because I just don't really have an idea how to approach most sensitive stuff and because I can't find it in myself to really be able to care about most things that don't directly concern me, so I will usually just try not to talk about those kinds of subjects. If I said something out of pocket then literally just, again, tell me outright, otherwise I will likely not realize so and thus won't do anything about it.

Perisex trans people you have to actually listen to intersex people and not just occasionally remember we exist when it's time to use us as a talking point. This means you need to accept that our relationships with things like agab and sig will be fundamentally different from perisex people's. This means you need to accept that we will not fit neatly into any model in which you separate people or make assumptions on lived experiences or needs based on agab.
When you’re an intersex trans/nonbinary/genderflux person who even remotely hints at using androgenizing or estrogenizing care so random perisex trans people and “allies” think that’s enough to “accurately” assume and use ftm/mtf/ftnb/mtfb/ASAB language for you without your consent
Alright 30% draft clean up over have fun scrolling ur dashboard now logging off bye. Once I'm strong enough I'll start writing that post about transmisogyny in the wc fandom just wait
hang on everyone the binary trans person has something to say about a term/belief that actively harms intersex and nonbinary people let's sit down and listen
no but im so tired of how self-deprecation is always more accepted than self-advocacy. if i say i can't drive because im autistic i get questioned on how exactly that works and given a million suggestions on how to do it anyway and i look like im trying to be special so it's easier to just say im a loser. yeah i don't drive because im kind of a loser lmao. oh well. and people say lmao back and we move on. at worst they say "oh im sure you'll figure it out haha." but no interrogation!! being a loser is more respectable than being disabled. being a loser is something that doesn't make other people feel uncomfortable about their own biases. so no, no im not disabled. i don't struggle to keep friends and do the laundry and make quick trivial decisions and clean my room and brush my teeth because im autistic. it's because im a loser. it's my fault. it is what it is. at least im funny now. do you think im funny? please think im funny
yeah wow isnt it crazy how every time a white creator is criticised for doing something racist and Particularly antiblack it turns out we are all simply holding poor downtrodden indie creators to a draconian standard... stomping on their dreams and killing their dogs by not allowing them to do that unremarked on..... life is SO hard out there. when youre racist
ppl will parade around disability rights for disabled folks but treat individuals who actually need help and care, patience, and might not contribute much (which is not a moral failing) as an absolute emotional and physical burden and honestly it's just full blown ableism that's hidden under therapy speech and performativity.
from my own experiences as a disabled individual both mentally (mild intellectual disability) and probably physical, it's hard for me to do certain things, I need help. I can't work a job so I mostly draw pictures and get tipped for it. I feel like a burden for it because my mother would treat me that way while trying to be "encouraging" Abt my disabilities.
the world is already cruel towards us so it's even harder dealing with ppl who understand disability but refuse to extend any patience or kindness.
anyway it's ok if ur disabled and don't contribute to capitalism. you are not a burden for needing extra help you matter and deserve the absolutely best.
I'm just saying, if you're going to worldbuild magic being a "raw, primal force, akin to and interweaving with nature itself" you gotta explain to me why animals don't use it
I know the normal answer is "they just aren't smart enough for it" but idk I've seen enough media where a character uses a spell in a moment of brain-off panic ilI feel like animals could probably stumble into a spell or two like, accidentally
I'm not gonna lie, I had no idea people were excluding animals from magic lol, but maybe I spent too much time learning about real life spiritual belief systems that often linked itself to animals having inherent magic in some way or another.
What few times I've seen animals get included in being able to use magic in stories, it's usually mythical species like dragons or unicorns, and they're usually written to be on a human level of intelligence. With as many belief systems as there are with animals being capabe of or integral to magic, makes me wonder if the lack of such stories in media is related to how Christianity makes humans out to be something different from and superior to other animals.
Oh, that made me perk up and take notes. The novel I've been updating from 25 years ago features non-Christian main characters and themes and it's psionics rather than magic, but I've got my human characters communicating with animals, and I'm trying to do it in a way that shows humans are not superior, where cats are kind of like how Diane Duane writes her cat wizards.
#i raise you 'animals don't use it in ways humans typically recognize magic' #it takes forever for a group of magic users who keep sensing changes in ambient magic around animals doing specific things to convince #the rest of the world that animals are in fact doing magic
Instinctual use of magic would make sense in a world with magic. For example, one could imagine a spider using magic to attract insects to its web, or beavers using magic to help them cut down trees. Predator species might use magic to augment their natural camouflage. I can imagine that such uses of magic could be dismissed by human wizards, being closely connected to their natural non-magical activities. It might be difficult to prove that magic-using spiders are catching more insects than would be expected purely from their web, for example. And even if it was proven that magic was involved, I can see wizards basically being like "that doesn't count because it's instinctual"
tbh leafpool is every bit as stubborn and headstrong as squirrelflight it’s just that squirrelflight is always being described through the pov of a man who wishes he could control her but cant
the windclan civil war plotline does drive me crazy bc for once theres some actual shakesperian tragedy shit going on and yet most fans of the series opt for an interpretation of it with zero nuance and things just happening for no reason
windclan civil war plotline: so growing close to firestar as an ally in his old age, tallstar comes to regret his choice in deputy as being someone more aggressive and xenophobic than him who will destroy their clans' relationship, so he does a last minute switch up to make firestar's friend onewhisker his deputy instead but the timing or planning and lack of open communication or being in touch with the brewing politics of his clan or any care about onewhisker or mudclaw's actual feelings dooms this action because it spends mudclaw spiraling into conspiracy and anger at being randomly denied the job and power he's been working towards and feels entitled to and he begins a coup. meanwhile onestar doesn't want to be leader whatsoever and this responsibility randomly being dropped on him and paranoia over his clanmates nearly killing him over it leads to him becoming more spiteful and feeling forced to become more xenophobic and nationalist out of necessity to save his image with said clanmates, becoming the very thing tallstar was seeking to prevent but ultimately became the catalyst for instead.
posts about it: so tallstar changed his deputy i guess but onestar randomly decided to become the worst guy ever (kind of mean to firestar) and ruined the clan. he was so much more interesting and a better character before when he was a bland nice nothing side character. tbh mudclaw is justified in trying to kill him though cause it was very rude that he randomly got demoted so i guess tallstar messed up there but only a little bit

Hey check out this cool medication, it's called an anti melancholy drug, it works by paralysing all your nerves permanently so you can't outwardly express sadness. It's the fifth most prescribed medication in the United States. If you imply the name might be a bit misleading and harmful you'll get accused of hating the mentally ill and wanting to take away people's medication.
