Trust

Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." Trust that God is working everything out for your good. Give HIM all of your heart not just a part. Our understanding of things isn't the same as God's understanding. Ask God for HIS understanding about your situation. Clearly we shouldn't be relying on our own understanding of things. God is love/Jesus saves. -EF

Truth

Each day we need to come clean with God. If there is anything between us and God, we need to talk to HIM and clear the air. Just like we do in our earthly relationships. God wants us to confess our faults. In dealing with my own flesh I don't like to confront wrongdoings as I should. Most of us like to make excuses, but excuses keep us deceived. An excuse is a reason stuffed with a lie. The truth will set us free (John 8:32). God is love/Jesus saves. -EF

Proactive vs. Reactive

Our prayer life should be proactive and not reactive. We need to pray prior to being smack dab in the middle of our mess. While Jesus was being tempted by the devil during his 40 day fast, HE learned the importance of proactive praying. In Matthew 26:41 Jesus says “pray so that you won’t be tempted. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.” If we proactively pray about not being tempted, we have a better chance at winning the battle with our flesh. Be proactive today! Stay a step ahead of the storm, and always make sure you have an umbrella. Proactive prayer is your umbrella in the storm. God is love/Jesus saves. -EF

Investments

Take chances today and invest in someone else’s life. You may give them something of value and they may do nothing with it. But remember that God made an investment in us, and He wants us to be willing to make an investment in somebody else. Jesus died to give everybody a chance, that is one major sacrifice God made for us. If we help someone, and they end up not doing anything with our investment, that is between them and God. We should be thankful we were able to invest something into someone else selflessly. It's not about you. God is love/Jesus saves. -EF

Queens and Kings

We should pray and then stop and listen. That small voice or feeling you get in your spirit/heart is God. The feeling of you get in your heart is God's truth. All of a sudden things become so clear. King David had a lot to say about seeking God in the morning. He prayed in the morning and then watched and waited for God to speak to his heart. Let's model after Kings and Queens and seek God at the beginning of our day. Seek HIM first...everything else will follow. God is love/Jesus saves. -EF

Time

If we are too busy to spend time with God, then we are just too busy. We need to ask God to show us things we can get rid of in our life that aren’t bearing any fruit. "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. ‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭12:33‬). We are like trees. Is our life bearing good fruit? Is what we are putting into our mind, body, and soul growing us, or rotting us from the inside out? Let's be more aware of what we are feeding our spirits. SweetE's Crab Cakes

SweetE's Crab Cakes Ingredients: Crab-fresh (Costco) Garlic salt Seasoned salt Paprika Old bay Dry mustard 1/4 teaspoon Salt Pepper Mayo Mustard coarse ground Worcestershire sauce Hot sauce Panko bread crumbs 1/4 Regular bread crumbs 1/4 1 egg Quarter green pepper 5 small mini peppers 1/2 an onion (yellow) Lemon Lime Mixing bowl Steps Sauté the onions and peppers with a lil salt and pepper. Until kinda soft. Set aside and let cool. In the mixing bowl: The crab The egg The cooled off peppers and onions Bread crumbs both kinds. Season using your judgment. I don't measure (sorry) Mayo about 1.5 spoons Wet mustard 1 spoon (because you are using dry too) 3 shakes of the Worcestershire sauce 1/2 a lemon the juice Then make the cakes on a baking sheet Set in refrigerator cover with plastic. It makes it easier to fry them up. Once fried you can squeeze lime on each cake. Lime and crab go well together. 😊 Forgot the lemon 🙁. Lol

Light

Don’t just wait to see what happens. Wake up with a plan that puts God first in all you do. God’s Word is a lamp to your feet, and a light to your path (see Psalm 119:105). Lamp to your feet= so you can see currently where your feet are planted. Light to your path= your journey, your future, it could be so bright. You can get clarity on which path to take in the light. You can't make wise decisions if you can't see. Light allows things to be more visible. God will shed light in areas of your life that may seem dark as you put HIM first on this journey we call life. Purpose

Do you know your purpose? Jesus knew what His purpose was. He disciplined Himself to stay on course, all the while He knew He was living to die. Die to save us. He knew it was bigger than Him. We should be following in His footsteps and focus on our purpose. Let go of our selfish, self-centered, self serving lifestyles, and do something for the betterment of someone else's life. That is when we start to move into our purpose. It's not about you. J.O.Y. Jesus Others Yourself. God is Love/Jesus saves. -EF.

Thought of the day

If you have been asking God to lead you in the way you should go, you will have a sense of purpose building in you. Destiny manifests when God calls things from destiny into time. It's always been there, God decides when it's time for "it"to be present our lives, not us. His time is not like ours... It's HIS. All things come in good time. He is working all things together for our good. Don't give up! It will come, and when it does you will know the timing is just right! God is love/Jesus saves.-EF
