the more i think about the twilight meadow scene in the book vs the movie the angrier i get. i appreciate a lot of what hardwicke & co. did but the meadow scene being all but entirely absent in the movie is unforgivable. it’s arguably The Climactic moment in edward and bella’s story. they both walk away completely changed forever and the movie breezes past it, hacking together bits of their conversation in a dark forest instead of the juxtaposition of discussing life and death surrounded by sunlight and flowers. is anyone out there

There was a small collection of deleted scenes on the DVD. In one, Edward bites Bella's finger and sucks on it....like, wow have any of the people involved read the book at all? This scene would suggest otherwise
