The following post is going to be my take on Grumpus Biology. Let me know if there are some details I missed and if you want to hear my take on them. I am more than willing to change my thoughts and HC about these muppets. With that, here's what I got:
Sapiens Bestia, (Latin: Wise Beast) is the species to which all modern grumpuses belong. They are one of many species grouped into the genus Bestia that had not gone extinct. S. Bestia evolved from a group of now extinct small mammals that had similar characteristics to S. Bestia, Ne Bestiae (Latin: Stout Beast). Other species that evolved from N. Bestiae were Fortis Est Bestia (Latin: Strong Beast), Parva Bestia (Latin: Small Beast) and Fera Bestia (Latin: Wild Beast). Records show that P. Bestia were the first to go exint, due to the larger Bestias taking their territories and hunting all their food. F.E Bestia and F. Bestia coexisted together, slowly intergrating each other within their cultures, cross breeding to evolve into Violenta Bestia (Latin: Violent Beast).
These larger species were more suitable for a harsher environment, with digitigrade legs and horns, thicker bones and tusks, and fangs built for combat. These monsters amongst S. Bestia clashed with our ancestors for territory and food. Not much is known as to how V. Bestia had gone into extinction, however, it is theorized by scholars that S. Bestia had intergraded them into their own packs, “domesticating” them and they naturally died out while their descendants were almost unrecognizable and appeared almost precisely like the superior S. Bestia. However, this theory has been put into question, as in recent history there was a hidden group of Grumpuses that displayed the characteristics of V. Bestia, namely their larger size, digitigrade legs, and horns.
All species in the genus Bestia are warm-blooded mammals that give birth to live young. In ancient times, S. Bestia would have community nest chambers where all the young were raised until they reached the age to work in the community, which would be 16 for the males and 14 for the females. S. Bestia is sexually active around 16 years of age and experiences a metamorphosis around age 14 for both genders. Tusk and fangs grow longer, reproductive organs develop, hormones flow through the mind, etc. S. Bestia only carries one baby at a time, however twins or even triplets aren’t unheard of, however, the risk of injury or even death for the carrier increases exponentially with every offspring in the womb.
Fur color was always a great mystery among scholars. While it is generally agreed upon that S. Bestia in ancient times had more earthy colors, it is still unknown how or why the more vibrant colors of the modern Grumpus appeared. One theory suggests it was a tactical advantage, warning protentional predators that S. Bestia was dangerous and to stay away. Another theory suggests with the rise of civilization and society, certain colors were favored by individuals, and it was natural selection. Whatever the case, the modern S. Bestia comes in various colors of all shades and tones.
The jaw structure of S. Bestia is a natural wonder. Rather than the lower jaw moving like non-sentient species, S. Bestia, along with others descendent from the N. Bestiae, the upper jaw opens, allowing the mouth to open 90 degrees, allowing S. Bestia to devour more oversized items in ancient times. Another note of interest is the over and underbites of the population. While scholars preach that S. Bestia born with an overbite are female and those born with an underbite are male, there is no evidence that completely lines with this theory, so many just attribute this fact to the that an over or underbite being developed is completely hereditary from the offspring’s parents.

Start with sans undertale.
Slap that head on a bean.
Limbs are the part most people mess up on, including me. the limbs are shorter and thicker than an adult's. Also, more bent. Babies get all scrunched up from being in the womb/egg, and it takes a while to unscrunch. They can be extended, but it takes more effort for a baby than an adult.
The face:
once again start with that sans undertale.
Then you put the face guide on. When you do, put the eyeline lower than usual.
Face is generally more closer together than normal. And a quick tip to make something more baby, is add a chin. babies are chubby.
