[`a look of recognition passes over him] Ah, so you’re just a sour puss in general.  Who was it that shoved the lemon up your ass to get you like that? [`smirks at the other] You keep saying things like that, yet here you are, still standing here and talking to me.

{`rolls his eyes} are you done talking yet? {`raises an eyebrow and throws a glance both left and right, then back to the male in front of him} good point. {`makes a point of turning on his heel and taking a few steps forward to get away from the slytherin who was provoking him}

Well for one, the cute little scowl on your face, and your unhappy attitude.  Then [`he pauses to run his eyes up and down the other, sweeping his arm as he does so] there’s that pose, and all the eye rolling.  Seems to me like someone hopped out of the wrong side of the bed. [`smirks at the blonde]

{`scowls further at the other at the mention of his facial expression, quirking an eyebrow again at the slytherin's actions. he tilts his head to the side, eyes narrowing just a small amount} this is how i act normally. {`rests a hand on his hip and shrugs} ..did it ever occur to you that i could just not be interested in whatever comes out of that mouth of yours?

somehow for the beginning of september, it was still warm enough to sit outside without having to wear a massive coat. ren thanked merlin for the grass being dry too, as he had decided that sitting by the lake would be a good kick-start for his inspiration. he'd taken his notebook and a few pens and pencils out into the grounds, hoping that no one else would be around. 

his plan was flawed when he arrived, and he spotted another male sitting nearby. instead he moved over towards one of the big trees and sat underneath it, letting out a quiet sigh at the fact that he wasn't alone. he could put up with it for the time being though, if he just tried to ignore the other. it shouldn't be that hard when he's engrossed in drawing.

What a charming sound to come from such perfect lips. [`shrugs nonchalantly] Well you said it wasn’t house sorting that kept you up, I wondered what was.  But it’s nothing huh?  How boring. [`wriggles his eyebrows quickly, just once] Is that why you’re so grumpy?

{`raises a questioning eyebrow at the other, but chooses not to ask further, instead raking a finger through his hair. he pulls out a hair-tie from his pocket and has it up in seconds, then proceeds to roll his eyes at the slytherin} it's never anything. {`he simply stares at the other blankly} no. i'm not grumpy. {`places a hand on his hip, it cocking to the side slightly} what would make you think that? {`his face was still blank, and even his voice had little tone to it}

it usually didn't take ren that long to sneak out at night. but he was late for being out late. it was probably around 12:30am, but he didn't carry a watch for the time, so who really knew? he silently made his way through the corridors, the route already engraved into his memory from years of following it. it lead him through (almost) unused corridors and 'secret' rooms that hardly any students knew about. he was almost out of the smaller corridor when he thought he heard a sound that wasn't of his own. he took a deep breath and shrugged, pushing on through the corridor.

[`he thinks the Gryffindor’s anger is simply endearing, though doesn’t mention the fact in case the blonde combusts] Well that’s the thing with a uniform isn’t it?  They’re all the same.  I could say you’re just another Gryffindor. [`bites down on his lip] And if it isn’t house sorting, what does keep you up at night?

{`lets out a disgusted noise at the slytherin, a clear distaste in the other's choice of words} i told you not to bring my house into this. {`he exhales sharply with a frown, yet almost laughs} do you even know what insomnia is? you don't need a reason to not fall asleep. you can lie there for however long you want, but it still won't come to you.

[`clicks his tongue] Ah, so fiesty, I like it.  You’ll be quick to learn that I’m far from being just another Slytherin. [`his eyes flash darkly for an instant and he leans against the wall] Does it keep you up at night, the fact that the hat didn’t listen to your request?

{`can't help but roll his eyes at the slytherin} your robes have green on them. you're just another slytherin. {`he glares again, becoming angrier at the other's teasing} the only thing that keeps me up at night- {`he bites back} -is insomnia. and that does not have anything to do about whether or not i've been sorted into some damn house or not.

[`smirks after the other, delighted that he’s hit a sore spot already] Ah, someone didn’t like the choice the sorting hat made.  Bringing Gryffindor and their students into things is fun though; but I can pretend you’re one of us I suppose.

{`he stops in his tracks once again and closes his eyes, silently willing for the other to leave him alone} just because i'm stuck in gryffindor- {`turns to face the other} -does not mean that i feel like one. pretend all you like. {`he looks the other up and down} you're just another slytherin.

{`he stills at the reference to his house, then turns his head slowly back towards the other, a glare being his only response for a second. he turns the rest of his body around and takes a step forward} do not. {`he takes another step} bring gryffindor into this. {`he turns on his heel to start walking away again}

{`turns from the bookshelf he was browsing through and looks the stranger up and down before scowling} call me pretty again and i’ll punch your face in. {`he pushes past the other with a loud huff, already feeling his temper get hot}

Key sat at one of the circular tables in the Gryffindor common room, trying to focus on the History of Magic book open in front of him, but he couldn’t seem to concentrate, instead focusing his attention on a blond boy (or was it a girl? No, he had come from the boys’ dormitories, it had to be a boy) who was just sitting down at another one of the round tables. Key’s brow furrowed, and he tried to think of where he knew this kid. Suddenly, the blond’s eyes widened as he recognized the boy.

Jumping out of his seat and causing his half-written history essay to fall to the floor, Key started across the common room, calling to the boy. “Hey! That healer guy Sen told me about you!" He shouted, approaching the boy’s table.

ren was busy drawing in his notebook, humming along to a song in his head. he'd been drawing and doodling for so long that he seemed to forget that other gryffindors were even around. it wasn't until another blonde boy caught his attention, their loudness causing ren to frown. he gave the other a look up and down, placing down his pencil, suddenly intrigued. "sen? what did he say about me?" he sighed, combing a couple of fingers through his hair, before quickly slamming his hands down on the table, scurrying to shut his notebook. "and stop shouting. merlin, you're so damn loud."

{`bluntly laughs at the other, a hand now going down to pat against his chest} i can't help it. you're making me laugh. {`he only continues to chuckle at the other's plea, lifting up to let him go and turns over to flop down on the bed. he sighed contentedly, moving his arms up to rest his head upon them, fingers locked to keep them together} thanks, pretty boy. {`closes his eyes to pretend to sleep, even though he knows he won't be able to -- not that he would even want to -- and wonders why he was so adamant to dominate the bed if he can't even sleep in it. he'll probably be back up again in a few minutes, boredom tugging at him}
