Yes, even YOU guys.

I’ve been trying to find a way to word this this past week and I don’t think I can properly articulate what I’ve been feeling so bear with me as I attempt to express my gratitude to those that have reblogged, donated, offered condolences and kind words to our friend @lolman9000. Especially towards those I have poor relationships with and/or grudges against.

As you know, Louis’ father had passed recently in a tragic accident that involved him saving his coworker from drowning. The following week was incredibly hard for anyone close to Louis and for Louis and his mother tenfold.  Without divulging Louis’ financial and familial situation, his friends began collecting donations to help him out with the costs of losing a loved one. In the following week we received an unprecedented amount of donations and support from all corners of this specific community. People we’ve never spoken to. People we barely know. People we actually have had quarrels with. People who made no effort to hide their disdain for me and my friends. People who I’ve hurt and mocked in the past. People who have nothing to gain from showing and giving their support have gathered under some kind of weird solidarity to humble me immensely.  Despite our differences you found it in your hearts to reblog and even donate. Even my stubbornness could not prevent me from being incredibly moved by this show of generosity. Particularly the few of you who have absolutely no reason to spare us even a cursory glance. I thank you for proving me wrong and I apologize for the way I have treated you in the past and to any wrongs I’ve committed.  Thank you to everyone who has proven to me that there is still good in this community.

ive been quiet on here for the last few days, and last night i received the absolute worst news of my life

neither my mother nor i can drive; i work part time at a place nearby and between us, we do not make enough money to survive as a family without my father

posting this fills me with a particular sense of shame. i wish i was even half the man my father was so that i could pick myself up and continue to take care of my mom, but i cant do it alone

if anyone reading this, anywhere, can spare anything, please help us. i dont know what to do without my dad.

Louis’ Dad lost his life while selflessly saving his coworker from drowning. That’s the kind of guy he was and that’s the kind of guy who raised Louis to be just as warm and selfless. With an immense weight on all our hearts I ask you to spread the word if you are able to. Thank you so much everyone.
