People are not mad at Jules for creating that painting. They’re mad that she did it when she knows that network shows have strict censorship, Lexi did her a favor and she in return threatened her job.

Yeah. That network show with the strict censorship is the one causing the problem here. Not Jules. Not the painting. This kinda goes in hand with the conservative puritanical censorship pandemic I mentioned.

Jules surely didn’t mean to jeopardize Lexi’s job. And if Lexi gets fired that’s the networks fault. Because Lexi didn’t make the painting. And the network never bothered to do a background check or even an interview with an artist they hired. That’s on them not Lexi.

Also I’m slightly sleep deprived so this next paragraph is wonky I can’t fix it but this last part is important but I’m not sure if I could explain it properly just bear with me.

in Jules mind her painting is like a fact of her life. In her mind something like this painting is so normal to her. That’s just her. Her life. Her opinions her feelings. Her everyday living moments. To her this painting was not something controversial it’s just her. Just how she is. Just a bit of her personality she painted on the canvas with the background being similar to the vibes Lexi described.

Jules followed the guidelines Lexi gave her. And she also put a bit of her soul into it. As most artists do with their art. (And I kinda agree with her. Artists putting themselves into their art. Should not be controversial. Conservative Puritanical networks censoring peoples livelihoods should not be happening but it is for some very stupid reasons).

So for Jules to have not only her art but her personality who she is her livelihood just ridiculed and spit on and rejected and CENSORED because puritanical conservatives see it as obscene and gruesome when to her it’s really not like that it’s just her natural way of being. I can only imagine how much that hurt Jules both as an artist and as a person in general. I feel for Jules in this situation I’m on her side here.

Yeah, I get what you’re saying but that’s not how jobs work. Lexi is at the bottom tier of this company and she is absolutely going to be blamed for the financial loss and likely fired over Jules tantrum. I understand how it would hurt to have your work that represents rejected, and I don’t agree with censorship as a whole, but it exist and people are aware of this, including Jules. I’m not saying there’s no empathy to be had for Jules getting rejected. I’m saying that people are upset because she willingly put Lexi‘s job on the line even if she wasn’t intending to do that with the first painting because she probably wasn’t but she 1000% knew that destroying the painting entirely would jeopardize Lexi’s career. That’s what I was saying in my original response. I wasn’t saying Jules was wrong for creating a painting that represents her. I was saying that people are upset because they are aware that censorship is extremely out of hand and it’s not crazy to assume Jules knows this as well.

Jules is definitely very connected to her art, but she also does not want to be coached or helped or go to school or anything to be a well renowned in well sold artist, so she’s going to have to make these mistakes on her own. I also don’t think the network does as much hands-on work as in interviewing artists, they really just have the final say over script things and if an scene is too raunchy or not for them the network only worries about numbers, money, and viewership.

Also, I completely get being sleep deprived, but most of your paragraphs made sense to me I think. I’m also very tired too and it’s hard for me to type because I had to get a new phone and I’m not used to the keyboard so I hope my response makes sense as well.
