Is Guided by a New Podcast on hiatus indefinitely?

On the one hand, "indefinite hiatus" sounds a much more ominous final thing than I'd care for. On the other, our return to finish out Classic is essentially a shrug while gesturing at the baby, soooo. Recording and editing the podcast takes a huge chunk of our time unfortunately, and as we barely have the free time to maintain some semblance of functional humanity right now, the podcast has had to be placed at the lower end of our priorities.

Much as I want to quibble the terms, I can't counter with anything concrete. "On hiatus indefinitely" is, then, the best way to consider things until we can say otherwise.

Is the podcast cancelled or just on hiatus what with Jewlet? Either way, completely understandable, little ones take up all your free time :)

Just a hiatus! Our computer problems fucked up the schedule at precisely the worst moment, and now it’s just getting the time for it with all the extra life needs playing grabby hands with every spare minute. We have two episodes recorded that need editing, which I’m looking to get done in March, and then ideally in Aprilish, we can get another couple recorded.

The stall and delay is entirely on my (Jet Wolf’s) shoulders, for which I apologize. The pace in the end of Classic is a much slower one, but we’ll get there!

Holligay and I have no idea how to shut the fuck up in the next two episodes of Guided By A New Podcast, so look forward to that!

i'm on the third episode of the podcast and the audio has you and keyofjetwolf speaking in stereo suddenly. it doesn't seem to be the case for the other episodes so i'm 100% happy to listen to them*, but is there a mono version of episode 3? i'd hate to miss out on a potential jadeite roast! (*i can handle normal inevitable podcast noises in a mono recording, but in stereo it's a bit too much for me lol). love the show, gonna check out the utena meta here that i heard about on it now owo

This would be a good question for @keyofjetwolf! I am the tech based idiot of the podcast. 

I will say we switched microphones to a better setup in about episode....4-6? Or something? And sometime in the 20s we moved to the room we’re in now, which is the best setup. IT WAS A BIT OF A THING STARTING OUT THOUGH.

HI JET WOLF HERE. I don’t have a mono version of Ep 3 (or any of them, honestly), but I still have -- I THINK -- the raw files and I should be able to remix it in mono.

It’s rough going for the first few, I know! I was trying out different methods and software and all that. Somewhere around ep 6 (again, I think), I found Hindenburg, and that made everything SO much better! It’ll still be a bit before I really dial it in, but it’s a massive jump in quality.

All of this being way too many words to say that I don’t have a better version of Ep 3 on-hand, but I’m putting it on my schedule to check and see if I can easily fix that problem. If so, I’ll get that done and replace the old file, and make a post here letting everyone know!
