excuse me

You never know what you have until it's gone

or until you move away

and my new "home" has none of the comforts of my old home

my real home

it's still my home, I just reside some place different 99% of the time

but they say that home is where your heart is and mine sure as hell is not here

my heart is wedged in the rib cages of at least 7 different people who all live where I used to

I've lent them pieces of me and I swear that one day I'll return to get them back

and I know they'll never forget me

not just out of love

but in those moments when they feel down and sad seemingly for no reason they'll remember they feel this way because I have always, all my life felt this way

and I still do except for the now rare and brief moments when I'm with them in person

I would apologize for giving you all the worst pieces of me

but I've never been any better

and I don't want to be

without any of you

next to me
