Gus is a character I'll never get bored of. Sure, I'll never get bored of Shawn either, but there's something different about Gus. I don't know how to explain it, but unlike Shawn he doesn't really have any childhood/past trauma (unless I'm wrong I'm just 5 seasons in), and was a nerd all through his life but yet not your everyday "erm actually 🤓☝️" nerd but actually has a personality.

Maybe that's it. He doesn't need a sad backstory or anything cuz his personality is so interesting. I'm sorry I can't even explain it properly but the things he does that make his personality is so random yet so funny, like tf you mean he can smell up clues? Picks locks? Obsess himself in sea animals? Has catchphrases that he doesn't overuse and he says it so subtly? Bro actually got accidentally married? Drives a small blue car which is actually from his work yet he loves it so much? Basically his whole friendship with Shawn? Will throw up or scream at the sight of a corpse?

i've come to realize that my writing is not good until i've written something three times. like full on rewrites i must first create a work and then systematically replace every word until it is something brand new and then do it again for something to be good.

deciding almost a month after publication i hate the entire climax of my fic so im rewriting all however many words for basically only myself. yay.

completely redid the entire climax and now im a thousand words into a brand new scene that literally didn't exist before i'd like to personally apologize to all 1,800 hits because they witnessed something different from what this is looking like now. pretty sure this is fanfic taboo but y'know what sometimes you just have to do things.

96% positive that i will end up writing a sequel now so that's how i'm justifying it to myself. it's for sequel continuity.
