I was honestly a bit nervous to draw and post this one, because it's such a deep rooted and genuine issue I struggle with. It's a thing I wish could be fixed in some way, but I feel pretty comforted it resonated with so many others too

it's pretty funny that gifs can only do up to 50 fps because they store the framerate as the number of centiseconds that each image is on screen for some reason and basically every gif renderer only supports setting it down to 2 (1 would be 100 fps but most things will render it as 10 fps for historical reasons)

the gif89a spec also describes a "plain text" extension where ascii text can be overlaid on the image in a monospace font but nobody ever used and basically nothing supports it
