Hello, everyone. It’s been some time since I’ve made any updates or asked for anything. Much has changed here with us, and some of it is for the good.
My car is working better than it has in many months, possibly even since before we moved here. Only thing she needs is an oil change, but that’s cheap and we can cover it. What’s really important is that now I have a job! It’s right down the road and it’s a job I’ve worked before and remember more of than I thought (today was my first day and I did quite well). So now, all three of us have an income.
That being said, a situation has arisen that I don’t know if I have permission to go into detail about. What I know that I can say is we are trying to move out as soon as possible, as in immediately if we can. There is a house that we’re looking at whose rent is $1500/month, as is the deposit. We need as much help as we can as this is officially an emergency situation. We’re right now three people in a hotel room, but that’s soon about to be a higher number.
Please share as you can, give as you can, whatever you can do to help. Even just $1 is helpful and will be appreciated. @shinigami-of-excellence has agreed to do his very popular headshots commissions, as well as limited standard commissions in return for the prices listed in the links. This is an extra bonus since it will give donors something to show for their time and money.
Sharing here. Until we have permission to share the full story, the summary is that a family emergency has come up with one of us. I want to emphasize that we are safe, but we need to move as soon as possible.
I will be doing a commissions stream tomorrow to finish up the remaining headshots from the last round, and working on whatever other commissions I can after. I’m going to reblog this then with the link.

So, I wasn’t gonna open commissions again til I was done with the ones I have, but we’re in an emergency and donations are coming in slow. Our car in broken and we still need to pay the rest of our rent and storage, and I need a new ID by my birthday or I will no longer be able to cash my checks. I am offering headshots for as little as 10$ a piece. I would prefer being commissioned for headshots because I can do them between my larger comms and they will mostly be done withing a week or so. But if you’re willing to pay I will take larger commissions. Just understand it may take some time.

I've literally never done this before - the one time I tried to do an RP before it sort of fell apart immediately because all of us were too busy. Looking for someone who is super patient but can certainly be sassy af. I'd be comfortable RPing Duo, Trowa, Zechs or Relena. I'm open to any characters to RP with. Did I do this right??

How to Learn What Kind of Writer You Are
Writing doesn’t have to be a solo activity. In fact, creativity and productivity are often stimulated by writing with company. Today, participant Randi Oomens shares why it’s vital to learn the type of writer you are… and how she’s tackling it:
On a NaNoWriMo webcast in 2014, author Scott Westerfeld gave my favorite advice: you need to learn what kind of writer you are. I took that to heart, and began practicing at different times of day with varying routines in preparation to attempt my first NaNoWriMo in 2015. My goal was to win, so I needed to know what kind of writer I was.
I discovered that I’m productive when my schedule is regimented, which was no surprise since I was once called, “the most regimented non-military person” a friend knew. After tinkering with an outline, I am now also quite the plantser—shocker.

When creating a character, there’s a lot of questions you ask yourself. Whether it’s an original character or one you’ve been playing for a long time, using a character sheet to get to know your character better can always be a nice idea. With it’s help, you’ll be able to think about things you didn’t necesarily thought about, and ask some important questions to yourself that might activate your character’s voice, or help you to get your muse back with them. Everyone has their favorite character sheets, some people prefer to have a lot of questions, some others like it a bit more vague, so here’s a masterlist of the character sheets I found on various websites and found quite interesting, plus some other things that could be used to help you see, for example, how other character view yours.

With these sheets, you could also try to find your character’s Jung and Enneagram Type or use the Moral Alignment tool. All of these things can be really useful to get a better grip on a character.
Then, if you’re trying to create a character, and do not have many ideas, or get stuck, I’d suggest for you to roam around TVTropes, which gives you a lot of tropes used for character creation. Maybe you could try to mix a few of these and create an original character?
Or, if you’re a skillful writer and know how to make your character different from another, make a list of characters in fiction you happen to find interesting and why. Try to keep it short. Then, maybe, try to mix and match things from two or three characters, take a character and change their backstory, to see what would change. Play with them to inspire yourself and create something new, original and truly yours.
Oh, and here’s a little guide to Mary-Sues and OCs, just in case you want to make sure your character isn’t going to become a Mary-Sue or a Gary-Stu
And last but not least, this article about building fictional character definitely seemed interesting to me, and is full of many other links that could guide you during the creating of your character and help you file one of these sheets.

DUDE, guys, someone wants RP people’s. Go check them out. I know how ya feel, buddy. Trust me. It was hard for me to find partners til recently. Me and my friend @korodeladezerto (mostly him) took it upon ourselves to make this @gundam-wing-rp-network for that exact reason. We’re using it as a hub for RPers and there’s at least one active RPer for each character, or at least I believe so.
