Liz dropped her head slightly, trying her best to cover her face so neither he nor Patty would see that she was crying. It hurt. It hurt a lot. Most of all because she felt like she had failed them.

"I’m sorry.. I’m sorry I’m dying- I’m sorry for being weak, and I’m sorry you’ll have to go find a new weapon pair."

She lifted her head slightly, as if she’s looking at him.

"Hey.. Even if you do get a new weapon pair.. You know, for the whole symmetry thing and all.. Please keep taking care of Patty.."

Liz trusted he would. He would, wouldn’t he? 

She doesn’t like this. She doesn’t like the fast that she’s going to be leaving behind her little sister all on her own, and all of her friends. That’s she’s never going to get her first date or marriage or any of the silly little things she’d dreamed of since leaving the streets.

But most of all, she doesn’t like that she died like this. It seems like such a stupid way to die, screw however powerful the enemy is, she shouldn’t lose. And they didn’t! They won. 

But she can’t keep breathing with this kind of injury, and now there’s only a manner of seconds left.

She let out a small laugh, inhaling sharply at the sharp pain in her chest. “Guess your dad will come get my soul soon, huh?? Thank both of you, for taking care of me and Patty for so long.. I’m trusting you with her-“
