The Ultraman will be released on DVD on September 14 via Mill Creek Entertainment. It’s the eighth installment in Tsuburaya Productions’ long-running Ultra franchise.

The animated series aired in Japan for 50 episodes from 1979 to 1980. Kei Tomiyama, Masatô Ibu, Sumi Shimamoto, and Eiji Kanie star. Nippon Sunrise (Mobile Suit Gundam) handled the animation.

Due to the way the series was produced and archived, it is only available in standard definition. No special features are included.
