HE EXAMINES THE JACKET once he spots it, fingers skittering along the sleeves and a small smile begins to creep unto his lips. Christmas had always been his favourite partly because of the cheery atmosphere is created for the people, for the smells, tastes and sounds of December, but so many spent alone in the past few years had made him forget just how nice it was waking up on Christmas Day with friends around – presents were nice after all but the company more so. The patches he spots make him chuckle softly, plucking the jacket off the table to examine it a little better, smile spreading into a grin with each one that his fingers pass. And it warmed him that she took into consideration his right arm, that he could avoid a trip to the tailors just so he could wear it – and he was determined to wear it. The gift itself was perfect though perhaps he cherished the card a little more than intended.

His lips parted, eyes closed and head tilted towards her, feeling his chest tightened with the sweet kind of pressure only she could evoke from him. His breathing grew a little heavier, hands twitched and trailed the length of her thigh, resting low on her hips. A soft, small peck was pressed to the pillow of her thumb and after that he waited for her.

He waited for the kiss.

Quietly.

Patiently.

They start decorating the second they’re all done with Thanksgiving dinner and literally don’t stop until the Christmas day. Somehow, their decorations are taken down constantly. Reinhardt helps them reach the high places

rein finds himself decorated as well. the person who keeps taking down their decorations finds their room suddenly decorated in all green with a grinch mask on their bed.

this is absolutely canon. they deck the halls at three am, loudly singing christmas songs and wake everyone up. but it’s ok they make it up by baking a shit ton of christmas goodies. missions? what missions? it’s the month of christmas there are no missions.
