hurting myself and keeping myself alive by thinking about platonically married buddie rommates raising their two kids together. camped out at the dining table discussing the meal plan for the week. them trying to figure out who’s going to drive theo to soccer practice on wednesday and who’s picking chris up from his robotics workshop on thursday. very seriously wondering if they should adopt a cat or a dog in-between sips of lukewarm coffee. eddie’s hand high up on buck’s thigh and buck playing with eddie’s fingers instead of filling out their whiteboard weekly planner. just platonic stuff like that

one of my favorite and forever alive headcanons is that eddie goes all soft around the tummy throughout the years of buck feeding him. and maybe he half-heartedly complains about it as he reaches for another cookie or has to unbutton his pants after dinner but he really does enjoy just about anything buck makes, and he’s trying to choose joy, isn’t he. maybe his six-pack is more of a two-pack now but he likes buck’s cooking and he likes buck’s baking and he likes it whenever buck experiments in the kitchen and asks for help and he loves the way buck smiles whenever eddie licks his plate clean and asks for seconds. he also really likes the way buck grabs onto the fat on his stomach whenever he blows him 😊
