Okay, guys, I’ve had enough of this post, so I need to do something about it.

First and foremost, yes, I agree that Moffat has said and done a lot of problematic things, that quote included.

But I cannot let this post go without my two cents.

Please do not mislead people in this way. This is called manipulation of information. This is one of the biggest sins you can commit in journalism, and I, as a journalism student, cannot stand the fact that this happens on my dashboard.

Look clearly. Lucy’s $16 million net worth is dated March 2015. And Benedict’s, dated September 2014. It is clearly unfair to compare their net worth at different periods. Also, the information was gathered from different sites. If you check celebritynetworth.com, this is what comes up for Lucy and Ben, respectively:

That’s a $1 million difference, not a $12 million as the post implies. Guys, please. I am sure you all mean well, and you mean to point out the problematic things Moffat is doing. The guy is self-entitled, and is a prick, obviously. But let’s try to be more fair, balanced, and accurate in our posts.

Yes, let’s remember that a younger white actor will always catch up with and eventually earn more than a better known Asian actress with almost 30 years of experience. I’m sure you all meant well with your corrections and you didn’t consider this aspect of Hollywood and the film industry that Moffat obviously believes in. Let’s try to have a more fair and balanced discussion. Who would like to start by discussing white privilege?
