Summary:

K closes his eyes, knowing that it will be for the last time. Snowflakes settle gently on his face as he takes shallow breaths when a sudden shout interrupts the tranquility. „Rocky! Come here and help me!” Why does this voice sound like my own? K thinks to himself. Strong hands grab his shoulders and give him a shake. He wants to complain, but all he can manage is a moan. The hands examine him, his coat is pulled open, and the pain intensifies when somebody touches his wounds. „Oh shoot! No no no no no! Don’t you dare die on me!” his ‘own’ voice pleads with him. Then it yells at someone else, „Get Adrian! Hurry!”
