You know, I still can’t get over the fact that quite a few exclusionists have admitted to me that they purposely choose to not be a part of their local community. Not because of personal safety, but because they don’t like how inclusive they are. The constant hatred against ace, bi, and pan people that keeps circling around does nothing but keep people from seeking help from communities who often could care less about whether you “actually” belong.

I dont go to any of my local community gatherings because they keep calling me queer when I ask them not to, tell me I’m man-hating for being a lesbian, and literally dont use the word lesbian ever except to refer to two women having sex. I’d much rather hang out with my cishet ally friends who support me and dont call me queer and understand my identity than someone who tells me I have monosexual privilege and need to shut up! I dont go because it isnt a safe space for me! You know why? Because pandering to cishets is against the best interest of those suffering at their hands. It has nothing to do with the inclusion of bi and pan people (who belong at LGBT centers by nature) and everything to do with the inclusion of cishets who hate everything about me lol
