you nod, and hongjoong's lips press together to hold back a smile. "do you want to see the rest of it?" he asks after a moment. "the rest?" you blink.

he nods toward the mirror leaning against the wall across the room, "i was experimenting with angles."

hongjoong stands as you step closer to him, the hem of his sweater brushing his thighs as he moves toward the mirror. you follow, stopping just behind him as he adjusts the collar of his sweater, making it hang off his shoulder just right.

"joong," you say quietly, "you're really pretty."

he turns slowly, facing you instead of the mirror, his fingers twisting nervously in the sleeve of his sweater. "you've never said that before," he murmurs softly. his gaze drops briefly to your mouth before lifting again. "are you just being nice," he asks softly, "or do you actually like it?"
