“Combinations have always been the most intriguing aspect of Chess.
The masters look for them, the public applauds them, the critics
praise them. It is because combinations are possible that Chess
is more than a lifeless mathematical exercise. They are the
poetry of the game; they are to Chess what melody is to
music. They represent the triumph of mind over matter”

Chart of Saymaluu-Tash petroglyphs, Kyrgyzstan.
Credit: Unesco.
Saymaluu-Tash is a petroglyph site and a national park located in the Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan, south of Kazarman. The name "Saymaluu-Tash" translates to 'embroidered' or 'patterned stones' in the Kyrgyz language. The site is globally significant for its large collection of rock art, with over 10,000 carved pictures, and possibly as many as 11,000, having been identified so far. These black-and-white rock paintings are considered sacred displays of offerings made by the ancient inhabitants of the lower valley.
