PJO Au where everything is the same except Percy grew up watching atla and lok, so when he gets to camp and finds out he has water powers he basically goes—

"Fuck it, let's see if it works irl"

And it works, it works terrifyingly well. So well in fact that everyone is side eyeing Poseidon thinking he was an active father because "There's no fucking way he didn't train this boy look at him!"

Percy:

Monster: Ha! There ain't water here Jackson!

Percy: ...Wait...Annabeth, isn't the land also a part of my dad's domain?

Annabeth: Yeah?

Percy: ...OH MY GOD! I'M THE FUCKING AVATAR!

yeahhhh taking that as evidence + support for the theory/hc that percy can latch onto the water molecules in the air bc why else is he in tune with the bullet’s path 😭 like if it was just his brain/adhd working to “slow down time” around him, then he would just have extra time to realize the bullet is headed toward him and shift his blade to block it. but he said he could feel its path the same way he feels water currents in the ocean…? 😗

The most impressive thing here isn't sensing the water in the air, the most impressive thing is that he is able to think and move faster than a bullet, not to mention with enough precision that the bullet gets deflected without hurting him or anyone around him.

Nothing makes me more soft than the fact that during one of the worst periods of his live, 14-year-old Percy woke up in the middle of the night to travel to the ocean floor to rescue a (for him) random sea creature.

Nothing aside from the fact that once he figured out that Bessie was terrified of swords, he immediately put riptide away, sat down next to him and untangled the net he was captured in section by section, which took at least an hour, all the while talking to Bessie in a calm and soothing voice to make him feel safe.

I love this boy so much :((((

Percy: I know we're hardwired for ancient Greek but like, I need lessons to actually understand it? Wouldn't it be your third language?

Nico: my dad lived with us in Italy, why wouldn't he speak his native language? I grew up speaking both Greek and Italian.

Leo: i think the more important thing we're ignoring here is that Hades was a present dad.

Nico: is, I live with him sometimes.

Leo: How was that childhood? Like *puts on a high voice* 'oh papa can you read me a bedtime story?' And he goes *puts on a deep voice* 'yes my little bambinas' and pulls out the necronomicon?

Nico: The necronomicon is fictional but points for knowing what that is and also no, he just told us stories he heard from the long dead, Mama was the weird one —but—

Nico: *turns around* Pollux, your dad was around when you were a kid; did you learn Greek?

Pollux: ναι. Different dialects tho.
