Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:
"It is essential for a person to set aside some time for themselves, to engage in supplication, remembrance (Dhikr), prayer, contemplation, introspection, rectification of the heart and other spiritual practices which require solitude and seclusion."
[Majmu al-Fatawa 10/426]
The hardest part about practicing Islam isn't prayer or fasting or hijab, it's perfecting your character, it's trying not to speak ill of someone, it's controlling your anger, it's making sure you aren't accidentally hurting someone.
Ya Rab, I am helpless so help me
The dua of Nuh
allahumma innaka afuwwun tuhibbul afwa fa'fu anni
"O Allah, Indeed You are Forgiving and love forgiveness, so forgive me”
the best dua to recite in the last 10 days of ramadan. may allah accept our repentance.
Whoever thinks well of Allah, Allah will not disappoint them. Whoever thanks Allah for a blessing, Allah will increase them in His bounty. And whoever relies on Allah, He will suffice them.

"...establish the prayer, and give glad tidings to the believers." {10:87}
Every good news, every success, every triumph, every ability and every sustenance comes after salah. Establish the salat properly in your life and see how your matters get straightened, and all your affairs rectified.

Allaahumma ‘innee ‘a’oothu bika minal-hammi walhazani, wal’ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala’id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal.

Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account.
[Quran 39:10]
O Changer of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.
“My Lord, put my heart at ease for me,
And ease my task for me.”
[20:25]
So where are you going?

Calling All Queer Muslims!
Story time: I joined this tumblr in fall 2017. I had just reconciled being Muslim and queer and I heard that this site was hella gay. A few months in I met some other queer Muslims and we became quick friends. Someone (The person who eventually became my spouse, @skeletonymous ) made a group chat in WhatsApp for all of us and we supported one another. We had virtual movie nights, we encouraged each other to keep up with prayer and fasting. And for Muslims, especially queer ones, that don’t have a lot of irl support, this really made an impact.
I want to bring this back. There are still plenty of queer muslims on this hellsite that don’t have the support, love, and friendship they need and that needs to change.
So if you’re Muslim and queer and are looking for people like you to become friends with, hit me up. And share the shit out of this y’all.
Sn: @skeletonymous edited this cause I never know wtf I’m doing or how to talk lol
Me when Muslims rant about homosexuality being haram:
" Show gentleness, for if gentleness is found in anything,it beautifies it, and when it is taken out from anything it damages it."
‐Prophet Muhammad
