sometimes I wish I'd figured out I was trans much earlier because you hear all these stories (I've heard like 3 but still) of people who realised and came out in like primary school before anyone even cared or understood gender shit, or who entered high school already having transitioned and having to hide this "big bad secret" and obviously that's not ideal but I feel like it's better than having to come out when everyone already knows who you are and it's just annoying

I remember when I was quite young before I understood it I watched this show on iplayer and it was Australian I think and it was about this trans girl starting high school and it was called First Day and it was just presented as such a normal thing and there were some bully characters but that's because it was a relatable teen show over anything else and the only real trans plot point I remember was people getting jealous because she used the teacher bathroom anyway last time I checked it isn't on iplayer and that's really sad I'm gonna Google it now but I just loved how normal it all was presented just in the same way all teen shows are like "new girl in school has to learn to be herself" type shit she just happened to be trans anyway if I rewatch it now fully understanding it then I'm for sure gonna cry but still I'm gonna look it up
