I randomly remembered a funny situation I had once
What is your favorite Dungeon Meshi modern outfit set?
This Falin shirt is so fucking funny
this is how lesbians text when you’re trying to figure out where to go for dinner
I showed this post to my girlfriend and it said it was "a bit too real"
actually pigs shouldn't be at pride even outside of uniform. fuck those guys
if you decide to become a police officer then that outweighs any other marginalised identity you can rustle up like. not sorry, who asked you to willingly become a pig
goes for soldiers too
I think what sets of the Devil apart from any other thing for me, is that it's the only story I know that would ask you to care about Morgan. in any other story, she'd unequivocally be a villain. in fact, in many of its inspirations, similar characters serve as the irredeemable evil to be destroyed. but of the Devil refuses to discard Morgan over her many faults and dysfunctions.
even when she actively and maliciously hurts and kills people, the narrative still makes an effort to consider her emotions, her viewpoints, her experience. no matter how disconnected and evil and inhuman she feels, it shows you that she's a person, and it highlights those few people who are positively impacted by her existence. it shows you how hard she works to help the ones she loves, even if she has to hide it under a layer of irony and ulterior motives. and it shows you all the ways Morgan is loved. all the ways her existence still has value, no matter how many people she's hurt, or how she personally feels about herself.
as someone who's often hurt others, who has a very easy time hating herself, and who feels that same disconnect with humanity... it means a lot to me that a story like of the Devil exists. I think any proper analysis of it requires that your heart is open to loving someone like Morgan.
I don't know how of the Devil will end, and my final opinion of it will be heavily impacted by the way it chooses to end. but given what we have, I have to believe it will find an ending that doesn't just discard Morgan like an evil thing. she can't just be a cautionary tale, some example of how not to be, like so many before. I have to believe it'll be better than that.
oil and water, these two.
Really enjoying of the Devil.
Getting into Of The Devil is crazy because people will sell it to you on the premise of “It’s toxic yuri Death Note!” And the you check it out and it’s some of the most dense and engaging cyberpunk fiction to be written in the last decade and also it’s like if Death Note was written by someone who doesn’t hate women.
Not to mention its depictions of neurodivergence being some of the most empathetic and emotionally powerful I've seen pretty much anywhere
The cards see all.
ummm op its really weird to headcanon kris to have an agab based off of the extremely flimsy information that the area based off of their childhood is called mancountry and the egg stuff is in there and this was clearly a place they once fit in but not anymore . if you dont want to misgender nonbinary people you should never acknowledge the ones that have any sort of relationship with their agab at all or they arent nonbinary . instead you should draw them in a binder and complaining about periods and wearing pigtails as a little kid and getting dysphoric over their feminine body the way all nonbinary people do
You have to love the t girl, okay?
You have to love her when it's easy.
You have to love her when it's hard.
You have to love her when she's spiralling.
You have to love her when she's recovering.
You have to love her when she fucks up.
You have to love her when she's doing great.
You have to love her when she's closetted. When she's not ready, when she's afraid to be herself.
You have to love her when she's depressed, when she's euphoric, when she's stressed and ill and relaxed.
You have to love her when she's vulnerable.
You have to love her when she's curled in on herself, hiding that gaping hole in her heart. When she's pushing you away and deflecting and protecting herself.
You have to love her when she's hurt.
You have to love her when she's happy. When all the cares in the world have melted away and she's in the moment and looking at something and wearing that smile you never see, when just for a moment, everything is okay.
You have to love her when she's so busy loving others that she isn't being loved herself.
You have to love her when she's losing herself.
You have to love her when she's disabled. When she can't eat, or clean or do anything but cry. When she can't stand or walk, when she can't see or hear.
You have to love her when she's in pain.
You have to love her when she's not herself.
You have to love her when she's someone else.
You have to love her when she feels hollow. When she feels like she's little more than a mass of flesh and bones that once had the idea of emotion.
You have to love her when she reads this and goes "yes, except for me".
You have to love yourself, okay?
worlds most well adjusted teenaged girl
gameoverse seems fun enough. but the cynical feminist in me can't help herself. all the male characters are like, cartoon blobs, which is contrasted strongly by the two major female characters in this pilot, both of whom are hour-glass shaped humanoid women who spend most of their screentime in swimsuits. and like that's not an outright dealbreaker but i *am* staring into the camera with my eyebrows raised.
idk i'm getting really tired of this "connecticut clark and malfina" type shit where male characters get to be Silly Abstract Little Guys but women have to be women shaped. it's this male-as-default thing that i hate where you don't need to add anything to a character design to imply male-ness but the woman better have wide hips and booba or else yknow like idk it's not outright Offensive but it is tiring
how it feels seeing a woman depicted in any media
