if I don't think any of the pre-med and nursing kids I meet should ever become healthcare professionals? They're all in it for the glory of saving lives.

Medicine is not a glorious profession. It's a lot of hard and dirty work. You shouldn't become a Doctor if you can't see yourself being happy with the workload.

Also, if you're doing it for the money, then you're a shitty person who should never have anyone's lives in their hands. Also, Doctors and Nurses don't really make that much for the work they do.

You should pursue these careers because they're your dream.

Would you still be pre-med/nursing if Doctors legitimately worked for free?
