✴︎ pretty much exclusively talk about sports of all kinds, but particularly hockey and basketball. Yap about anything and everything though.

In hockey my favourite team is the Montréal Canadiens <3 but I also like New York, Pittsburgh, Edmonton, San Jose (sharks + pwhl), and the Montréal Victoire.

My favourite basketball team is the New York Knicks… and I have a soft spot for the Raptors (🫣), Lakers, and 2000s bulls.

I also support Ireland in every sport we’re in!! Rugby, football, whatever. I’m a massive GAA fan too :)

I’m a Knicks fan because I’m a sucker for teams with history and I love pretty much every NYC sports team. Technically OG Anunoby is English but in my eyes he isn’t especially because he didn’t grow up in England 🥲✋ he’s too pure of heart.

And I could never be a Celtics fan. Every team in that godforsaken city needs to crumble to the ground. Boston sports fans are the worst people on planet Earth. And they stole Mitch Robinson from us 😭 I’ll never forgive them.

Unfortunately they CO-OPTED our name to be shit team </3 and I feel the same way about how the maple leafs used to be called the St Patrick’s because I fucking hate the leafs.

I’m English and even I don’t support the England football team. I’m glad they lost. It would’ve only made the worst people happy (the Farage-loving racist flag-shaggers) so fuck them. I hope it never “comes home”.

PS- Very sorry about the genocide. Didn’t know we did that. (We don’t learn anything about Ireland in school. Or anywhere else really. “History” in English schools is basically limited to the Romans, Vikings, 1066 (invasions!) Shakespeare, the Spanish Armada and the Nazis (attempted invasions!) Maybe a one-off trip to Stonehenge or the Natural History Museum to see Dippy the dinosaur.. 😐

The English education system is utterly broken (in more ways than just curriculum) and the history course definitelyyy needs some adjustment because I feel like A LOT of Brits don’t know their history, which is why there’s a lot of glorification of their history and a rise of the right-wing.

But I have noticed that without fail every time I’ve posted about England (on any platform mind you), I’ve gotten rude comments from English fans. Genuinely you all suck 🙏 I express dislike for a team - or even sometimes like for an English opponent- and I’ll get angry comments from disgruntled English fans calling me stupid and insulting me SIMPLY for the fact that I don’t devote my life to English football. I’ve been shitting on other teams but the only time I’ve gotten angry replies is when I talked about England… telling!

Forgive me!! I don’t support the country that committed genocide against my people, still occupy my country to this day, almost wiped out my entire culture and language, and every other fucking thing England has done not only to Ireland but the majority of countries.

I feel like it’s fair enough to not want to support England all things considered??
