The people who don’t understand the Travis/laura mutually assured destruction talking like “why does he have to kill her when she shoots him non-fatally and he’s walking around just fine later? Why is Travis overreacting??”

Like first of all the Hackett family is made up solely of people who take thee worst possible reactions to the terrible events in their lives so jot that down

But secondly that is not a man that is a kicked dog. The dog trusted you enough to open up, to expose his belly, to share toys. And then you kicked him. He’s going to react like a dumb animal that’s been abused because that’s exactly what he is. And it’s awesome.
