but don't worry! ordis remakes it for the operator, and they bring it to the final confrontation so...goddammit, ballas can steal it and stab the lotus again

my earnest hope is that it shows up in tau when we finally get there somehow. and then someone uses it to stab the lotus again and the operator gets absolutely no value out of it whatsoever, once again

This one's silly and bordering on crack/OOC maybe, but I just imagined Roathe learning Morse code and using his tail to tap out messages.

I was thinking one of the Hex, maybe Quincy, knows it and he gives the Drifter small book for him to read. Drifter is intrigued and carries it around to read when he gets downtime and picks up a little here and there.

He goes to see Roathe and whether he talks to Roathe about it or Drifter leaves the book behind on accident, Roathe finds the book and starts reading just because. The book has a whole chapter on it's history and applications and he's fascinated, so he starts to learn it, and boy does he pick it up fast. And this is where, he uses the metal tip of his tail to tap on the floor.

Much to the annoyance of Lyon and Marie. It triggers Lyon's migraines, and Marie just can't stand it. Maybe he's starts tapping on a surface that doesn't resonate so much. Next time Drifter comes around looking for the book and sees Roathe...
