First day on the #internship! #latergram #rainyday #research #lotstolearn #somanylabtechniques A really great opportunity, which I'm really thankful for. First day was really busy, learning a lot of new stuff, almost feeling overwhelmed. But it was a good kind of busy. I'm excited to be able to start really learning and practicing all this. My PI is also super nice, for teaching me so much of the lab techniques today....even including reviewing math, like calculating serial dilutions ><. Here's to a learning and productive summer!

It also rained today! Which I don't mind...because I kind of like/miss the rain [:.

!!!!! After 8 whole seasons, finally!! It's almost surreal having finally met the mother ><...Mostly, it was just a moment of shock. For now, she's still on the outside of the group, the periphery of the circle. Seeing her face, I felt no emotional attachment--still a stranger--but I love how they included all the little details--Farhampton, yellow umbrella, bass guitar--because those little details really make this show. All-in-all, it does definitely make me excited for the next (and final) season. I feel like one season almost doesn't seem like enough time to really get to know the mother, but at the same time, it may be just enough for the show. But whatever may come, it will for sure be a memorable last season [:.
