so i wanted to change my #/colonel approves tag for sarei and i actually found a tag replacer site that works (https://tags.circumfluo.us/)

and like i was trying to be a bit clever and kinda-sorta indirectly immitate how japan uses stamp seals to sign off on things get it? like stamp/seal of approval *finger guns* //shot by using this 🈂 (that’s “sa”) but then the tag wouldn’t work and would turn up with Not Found like??? it didn’t matter that i put an english letter in front either, and idk in the process of replacing tags until i got something to work i went from 96 posts found to 93 so i lost 3 posts in the shuffle

miraculously the blog search actually worked and found サ (“sa” but without the square arount it) and ㋤ (“na” because that’s how his given name starts) and so now all should be good

the new tag is #S:【瑳】 btw

....pretend the brackets are like the square stamp okay. it’s the first kanji of his surname, and that’s S as in “signed”

         the  moment  the  other  man  lunged  at  him  ,  kai’s  hand  found  his  belt  by  instinct  …  or  where  his  belt  should  be  ,  the  realisation  that  he  was  in  a  completely  different  attire  cost  him  a  second’s  hesitation  to  allow  mikazuki  to  pin  him  down  and  hit  his  head  against  the  furniture  .  he  was  at  a  clear  disadvantage  here  ,  whatever  this  whole  …  illusion  was  ,  but  that  didn’t  mean  he  wasn’t  going  to  fight  ,  cursing  aloud  ,  even  if  he  was  so  awfully  fearful  of  such  close  proximity  with  the  demon  ,  he  might  as  well  be  inches  from  death  .

         he  thrashed  as  mikazuki  wound  the  leash  around  his  wrists  ,  adamant  on  making  the  process  as  difficult  as  possible  if  not  unsuccessful  ,  but  the  gap  between  their  physical  strength  and  his  dependence  on  weapons  was  making  it  hard  to  fight  him  off  ,  resulting  in  the  hunter  bound  ,  eyes  red-rimmed  ,  and  he  can’t  stop  shaking  despite  the  defiant  ,  almost  murderous  look  in  his  eyes  .

         “  never  struck  me  as  the  type  to  fuck  around  ,  ”  he  bit  out  ,  trying  to  hide  as  much  desperation  and  confusion  he  was  feeling  .  physical  weakness  was  more  than  enough  a  shame  to  him  .

After tying up his wrists, Mikazuki used his own belt to keep Kai’s ankles together. Alright that’s good enough... Now to help his roommate out in this moment of delusion.

He noted Kai’s eyes but tried to keep things light, “There, there, what’s a little rough-housing between guys? You’re reaction time will improve eventually; it just happens little by little. By the way, I kinda blanked out, but what’s today again?” First, he needed to evaluate where Kai thought he was.

fuck all that act and thorough disguise, kai could tell it was the damned demon even if the other turned to ash. what the hell was he babbling about, anyway ?

when mikazuki began approaching him instead, kai began to back away, one step for another. fear gripped him and forced his spine taut when he found himself cornered between the demon and the couch, keeping his eyes on the other all the while and only breaking away when he followed mikazuki’s gaze to see a dog in another corner of the living room. his expression grew even more confused. just … what the fuck was going on ?

he nearly jumped out of his skin when the other spoke once again, not used to the way he was spoken to. where was the sharp edge in his tone ? the threats ? the confusion he saw on mikazuki’s features seemed almost genuine.

“ keep my name out of your damn mouth, ” he snarled, his lips pulling into what seemed like a smile, but his voice was obviously shaking. “ did something happen ? after all you’ve done to me, you’re pretending as if you’re innocent ? ”

The hell was he...? Mikazuki wondered as he narrowed his eyes. Sometimes that brain of his fired a mile a minute; between all the comebacks and arguments and counterarguments and what-ifs from the reasonable to the outlandish, he came to a conclusion: Kai had lost his goddamn mind.

He had seen this at the loony-bin -- wait, right, he wasn’t supposed to call it the loony-bin... It was... no, wait, the official names don’t sound any friendlier...

---What he hoped though, was that this was just a temporary state caused by stress, and not the precursor to some lifelong ailment. But right now he needed to make sure that Kai didn’t do anything dangerous to himself or others.

So he tackled him.

Earlier before opening the door he had taken the leash off of Milly, and although she was in the corner now due to Kai’s odd behavior, Mikazuki still had the leash in hand... It will have to do.

if it was under any other circumstance, kai would have teased him about it, pointed out how strange the request was, given the attitude mikazuki often gave him, but now he just sat utterly silenced by confusion. was this the same person he saw in the day ? he wondered what kind of dream it was, that reduced him to such a vulnerable man, with an expression ( and were those tears ? ) that seemed to tug at kai’s heart.

he wasn’t awake long enough to school his own features, brows drawing together before his gaze softened. in his eyes, mikazuki, at this moment, looked unusually frail. he didn’t have the heart to reject him.

( he wanted to hold him together. )

“ … yeah. ” he said eventually, his voice uncharacteristically gentle. “ yeah, you can. ” and then he shifted, turning to the side so that they both could fit comfortably. “ c'mere. ”

Mikazuki merely nodded. He still wasn’t looking at Kai - at nothing in particular really. He wasn’t gasping for air, but sometimes when he blinked it seemed to cause another tear to roll down his face.

“...I brought my blanket,” he said weakly, along with a slight raise of the hand that held it, the gesture just as weak. 

He took the closest pillow and got in bed such that he had his back to Kai; pulled the blanket up, without much care; covered his face with the pillow, gripping it as though it were his head; and drew his knees up.  “Thanks,” he muttered, followed by a quiet sniff.
