As Serah sat in her bed looking out the window, she decided to take a walk. Besides, she wanted to clear her head. She put on her shoes and walked outside, finding a group of visitors over the fence.

“Hey, you people! Don’t cross the fence!” She yelled, running towards them.

Neph and Mia both halted, looking back past the gate. A pinkette had shouted at them not to cross, but they'd already gone over it. " 'Ay lil' missy! We're just goin ta find the next... Town..." Nephenee trailed off, suddenly confused and not knowing where the two had ended up.

The girls looked at each other  before a growling Gorgonopsid pounced on Mia. Mia failed to pull out her sword, as she was eating sand. Nephenee batted the creature off of Mia with her lance, the purple haired swords-woman readying herself for the next attack as she rose. "Wow, that's huge!" Mia commented, as a second and third Gorgonopsid appeared from almost nowhere. Surrounded, both girls readied to defend themselves.

Nephenee and Mia had been trudging through the rain for some time, never ending complaints from the purple headed swords-woman  Nephenee ignored her though, as life on her farm often had her working in worse rain than this. Continuing to plink off her armor, Nephenee took in the sweet scent of the rain falling from the heavens. It calmed her spirits, but seemed to only make Mia agitated.

"Neph can't we just go to an Inn or something? My swords going to get rust- Hey, who's that?" Mia paused, as a blue-haired woman approached them both. They continued to walk on, hoping she was just a passerby, and not a threat as they continued toward the woman.

Nephenee had been practicing her lance skills for quite some time, alongside her companion, Mia. The two spent their afternoon with training after Mia bugged Neph to no end, almost without a stop for water. As a figure appeared in the corner of her eyes, the woman lowered her lance and bucked her shield around her waist. Mia didn't pause so much as to look, continuing to batter their dummy swordsman.

Nephenee didn't say anything as the girl approached, just nodding in a silent greeting. Ah hate when Mia don't notice first... Everyone ah greet giggles at my darn accent... Hopefully she'll just pass by- Oh who am ah kiddin's she's comin right ta me.. The Lancer thought, now face to face with the young lady.

"Ah see you hidin' behind them bushes, why don't y'all come out and face me like a lady?" Nephenee stated, hearing an unnatural rusting within the bushes behind her. The sun easily broke through the forest canopy, allowing the lancer to see a fuzzy shape within the semi-thick brush. Mia, her companion, halted and swiveled with Nephenee, not saying a word as she placed a hand on her sword hilt. Nephenee kept her lance at ready, but not in a threatening manner as she faced the brush.

“BOSS! Hey! Oh my gosh we found you Boss! What’s up, where’d you go? Got any jobs for us Boss? Huh?” Mia shrieked happily at seeing Ike, running over and resisting the urge to give him a hug.

“H-Howdy General. Good ta see ya again, Sir.” Nephenee said, as she walked over to her former leader.

Ike was always taken back by Mia’s enthusiasm and energy, it was refreshing to be honest, but Ike still didn’t know how to react to Mia’s energy as the young swordmaster had come up to him suddenly bounding about asking him where he had wandered off to as well as if there was anything she could do today. chucking lightly Ike offered a small smile “There aren’t any jobs for us at the moment, but Soren is currently looking for more jobs for us to take on at the moment, so today we can just rest and relax” Ike responded to the energetic girl.

He had then turned his attention to the other female accompanying Mia, he immediately recognized the woman and nodded her greeting back to her “Its been a while Nephenee, it is good to see you again as well” Ike spoke politely as he noted that she was pretty much the same as he remember her from the Mad King’s war “How have you been since the Mad King’s war?” Ike finally thought to ask since it had been sometime since he had seen the woman.

Nephenee spoke, her strong accent coming out with her prolonged speech. The general had definitely grown a bit more after being away for so long... Nephenee couldn't help but wonder if he and the Queen Elincia had courted, like Brom and herself used to joke about.

"Awh man! We've been bored to death for nearly three months. Do you know how hard it is o find a job with all the peace? I mean, the peace is wonderful, yeah, but oh man.. Nothing to do that requires a sword. I mean, one guy had Nephenee and 'Hog tyin' ' horses at one point. All i did was trip and fall over every time... You shoulda seen Neph, she used combat tactics to flank and spank those ponies back into the stable, haha! The guy sure was pleased, and didn't get beat by is wife after all. Got some nice food money from it, but not as much as we used too. hey Nephenee, what did you say about the Boss courting the queen? Or was that a joke?" Mia finished off with a question.

"Er, Nuthin'! Ah don't know what yer talkin' about!" Neph answered, pulling her helmet over her eyes.
