We got married in our living room. Just like my grandparents did sixty-eight years ago. We had a little chocolate cake, a little key lime pie cake, and we drank champagne. All of this a little gift to my grandad before his cancer took over his body.

Today I learned my grandfather’s treatment isn’t working and they have stopped them all together.
Sleeping In the Park
This morning, I woke up, decided against tea or coffee, got rushed to the airport, only to realize there is a big difference between Gate D1 and Gate D1A. I slept on the plane until turbulence took over. I didn’t order a drink. We landed. John picked me up. We went to his new house…
John’ “new” house is probably over a hundred years. The ceilings are relatively high but the door ways are so short his partner Cody has to duck through them. Every room is painted a very dusty dessert color. There is copper everywhere. I am starving so I take John’s car to get breakfast for myself. His “car” is a tricked out black Xterra with heavily tinted windows and large holographic dead head/sacred geometry stickers on the side. It is essentially a large dark hot box.
I ate at City O City, because it never does me wrong and then I became very tired.
Sooooooooo tired.
I don’t know if it was the carb rich vegan food, the weed, the sleepless nights or the altitude but I then decided to grab a blanket and my weird horseshoe shaped airplane pillow and join a bums favorite pastime. Sleeping in the park.
