Cordelia Flint + Outfit
↪Siry Wedding
When she left a few days ago, Cordelia had fully expected she’d be back by Monday morning. Except it was now much later in the afternoon, and she was just walking through the front door of the Abbott’s house. It wasn’t only her mother holding her back, but herself staying a little longer to make sure she was doing fine. Her mother wouldn’t say it, but Lia knew she still wasn’t handling everything exactly well, and it made her worry more often than not. But in the end, she just really wanted to be back in a less tense environment.
And the first place she went to when she finally came back was her friend’s room, a grin on her lips as she walked in his room as if it was her own. “Hey, sorry I’m a little late. I meant to come back earlier but I guess I didn’t realize what time it was already.” She apologized before moving to sit on a chair. “Hope I didn’t miss anything here.”

“I wasn’t the one who said it,” Atalia said, raising her hands on either side of her head. “Why are you even doing that–whatever that was? It’s not like anything I’ve seen. Compliment or insult still pending.”
“Oh, I’m fully aware of that.” She said, giving the other a smile, but it wasn’t long until she was shrugging. “When I was younger, I’d have so much energy, my mom wouldn’t know what to do. So she signed me up for dance classes and... here I am. It just really helps, and I love it.”

“It’s fine,” Winnie waved her apology away. “Well I’ve made more than enough. This is actually the second batch. I may have gone slightly overboard,” She admitted sheepishly, pointing at the tray cooling on the side. “You’re more than welcome to taste test for me.”
Her eyes glanced in direction of the other tray for a moment. “Yeah, I really don’t think he’s going to eat all that. That, or one could think you’re trying to make him gain some weight.” She joked. “Well, you don’t have to tell me that twice.” She grinned before moving over to grab one of the pastries.

She kept her head still so that the other was sitting on her left, unable to see the bandages on the right side of her face. Alina let her eyes dart partially to the left when she said she came bearing gifts. “You don’t know me,” she said matter-of-factly, her eyebrows pinching together just slightly. “Why would you bring me gifts?”
The grin lingered on her lips, despite the tone of the other. Through the years, Lia learned to not get herself affected by the bad moods of others. “I’m aware of that. I just figured you might need some cheering up.” She shrugged before placing a packet of Bertie Botts beans on the bedside table. “And typically, sweets work great for that.”

rita hadn’t meant to stare a moment to long but shook her head to get herself back to reality, shrugging. “no, you’re fine. my apologies. i didn’t realize the room was being used.” she uttered, hoping to have had the space to use for her physical therapy in her beetle form - it was too dangerous to fly around the castle or outside without getting injured or eaten, but she needed to get back to using her wings. “are you going to be much longer?”
Lia gave the other girl a small smile and a shrug. “No, I should’ve left a note on the door. But I guess this could’ve been more embarrassing so I can get over it.” She said, forcing a small laugh out of her lips. She still wasn’t pleased with the routine, but part of her knew it wasn’t that bad. “I don’t know, I was planning to work until I nailed it. But we can share, I’ll stay on my side of the room.”

Winnie had stolen the kitchen for the morning, the muggle radio blaring as she moved to the music, baking as she went. It wasn’t loud enough that she would wake anyone, but most of the household were up by now, at least, apart from Emrys. The girl hummed as she moved, wiping her forehead with her arm, not realising it transferred flour to her face as she did so.
As she spun around, she caught sight of Cordelia, her lips curving up into a grin. “Lia! Hey, wanna join? I’m baking pumpkin pasties for Em.” Her tone was cheerful as she waved the other over, gesturing to the ingredients.Â
Cordelia had woken up not too long ago, her hair tucked in a messy bun as she didn’t have the patience to deal with it for now. She was mostly skipping through the house, trying to find Bryn, when she stumbled on the kitchen. Well, it wasn’t quite the right twin, but the sight of food caught her attention, and she ended up stopping for a while.
“Oh.” She let out when Winnie spotted her. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to stare. I think I’m just a little hungry.” She added before walking over, grin appearing on her lips. “As long as I get to eat some as well, I’ll help.” She agreed, tucking a piece of hair that had fallen from her bun behind her ear.Â

amos wouldn’t know the first thing about what he goddamn witnessed, but he knew it was quite impressive. he couldn’t help but clap slowly as he leaned against the frame of the door, giving a shrug. “don’t mind me.” he said casually. “however, that was pretty good.” he promised.Â
As she made a few steps towards the other, Cordelia let a small, teasing smile to appear on her face. “And what do you know about dance?” She asked jokingly, not meaning it in a negative manner at all. “Thanks. Still not good enough for my standards, but I’ll take it.”

Peter hadn’t necessarily meant to watch Cordelia’s routine. He’d simply been looking for Prongs to ask him for some homework help when the music had distracted him. But once he’d caught sight of Cordelia, he couldn’t stop watching. Like a deer in headlights, he was stuck, and he had to admit, she was bloody brilliant. Her own displeasure perplexed him, but he didn’t have long to ruminate on that before he was caught. “I–” He wasn’t sure what to say. Should he comment on her dancing? He thought she was great, but it might sound creepy. “Nice music, Flint. Really good choice.”
A small smile crept up on her face when she saw it was Peter, relaxing a little. She hadn’t realized how tense she was until now, perhaps because she just wanted everything to be perfect, and she couldn’t truly relax until it was. “Flint, really? I didn’t realize we were back to using surnames, Pettigrew.” She teased, giving him a small wink. “But thanks. I guess the music really is the only nice thing about this.”

Atalia was intrigued when she came across the other doing her routine. Her attention was pulled and she found herself leaning against the doorway until the other was done. “Don’t stop on my account. That–” She raised an eyebrow, gesturing vaguely to Cordelia. “What ever that was was fairly entertaining.”
Cordelia made a small face, mostly about the fact she wasn’t satisfied about her routine more than the other’s comment. “Terrible is a word I’d use to describe.” She started, before trying to smile a little. “But I’m glad it can still be considered entertaining.”

“…and really, no one even talks about how important it is to have a female in power! We’ve only had males in charge for decades and look where that’s brought us.” Emmeline finished her tirade, her cheeks a little pink from the lack of air during her speech. She deflated slightly when she looked at the person across from her. “Oi, were you even listening?” She said with a frown, leaning back against her chair and crossing her arms.

Cordelia had her chin in her hand, blankly staring at the other as she gave few nods once in a while. None of the words the other was saying were being processed anymore, only reacting she Emmeline called her out. Which made her straighten up quickly with a small shake of her head. “I swear, I listened! For about... a minute, but then you lost me.” She said, giving her a small apologetic smile.

Was that HALEY LU RICHARDSON I just saw walking down the hallways? Oh wait, no - that was CORDELIA FLINT. The CISFEMALE is a 18 year old GRYFFINDOR who is in 8TH YEAR. I heard the HALFBLOOD has chosen to STAY NEUTRAL which explains why SHE is EXCITABLE and OUTGOING, but also TACTLESS and ARGUMENTATIVE. But who really knows?
Cordelia had been trying to nail that new routine she was working on. And quite frankly, to an untrained eye, it probably looked nearly perfect. But it was never good enough for her. And as she finished it once one, she made a small displeased face. “This was terrible.” She mumbled under her breath. Only when she turned over to stop the music did she realize someone else was in there. “Oh, shoot! Didn’t realize you were here.”Â

Everything was still a bit of a shock–the pain, the memory, the situation as a whole–but it was all she could think about. She had bandages wrapped around her ribs that needed to be changed every few hours, as well as the one on the right side of her head, covering her from cheekbone to neck. There were various other cuts and marks on her arms and legs, but none as serious enough to be wrapped or cover. When she was brought in to the Hospital Wing, she’d been in so much shock that the pain hadn’t registered until Madam Pomfrey applied a salve to help it heal. Once she had calmed down enough for them to wrap her wounds, they told her that she couldn’t tell anyone about Blaise being a werewolf and left her to get some rest. While Alina understood why they’d asked that of her, it made her oddly upset. Halfway through the day, Madam Pomfrey came by and helped her sit up before tending to her other patients, leaving Alina to sit and stare at the wall opposite of her. “I don’t want company,” she said when she heard someone walk up, her voice hoarse. “So if you’ve come to stare at the injured girl, you can go ahead and leave.”
Cordelia didn’t know what happened. She just heard a student had been badly injured and was now in the hospital wing. And even if she had no idea who it was, she made her way over there, taking a seat on the chair that was right by the bed. “If I wanted to stare at an injured girl, I would’ve stayed over there before you even noticed me.” She said, taking a quick glance around to make sure no one, particularly not Madam Pomfrey, was around. “I come bearing gifts, actually.” She said, her voice notably lower as she pulled out a pack of assorted sweets she’d gotten from Honeydukes.Â

The events of the full moon night had raised quite some havoc for Dumbledore, and Blaise had been certain he would be expelled and arrested for how he had hurt Alina when he had been in his werewolf form. He didn’t know how it happened, but the old man somehow managed to keep it all under wraps and Blaise was allowed to stay on. On one hand while he was glad that he could stay at school and continue his education, Blaise wasn’t even sure if he even deserved it anymore. He sighed as he sat by the side of the quidditch pitch and polished his broom, a million thoughts running through his mind when he heard something and looked up to realize he wasn’t alone.Â
Cordelia hadn’t really been going anywhere, but staying inside the castle walls was getting depressing. Everyone was still on about the attack or too busy with their studies, and she needed a break from it all. So she just wandered out, somehow finding her way towards the Quidditch pitch. She hadn’t realized someone was there until she got closer. “Oops, didn’t realize someone was here.” She let out, hoping she wasn’t going to startle him. “Hope I’m not disturbing your...” She started, gaze drifting towards his broom. “broom cleaning session?”
