This was my favourite building that I saw.
I was following the river with all its parks, and eventually it ducks off into this little alleyway behind this beautiful brutalist apartment complex. The picture really doesn't do it justice - the textures and shapes on the facade had been meticulously thought out, despite looking like a simple concrete slab. I was just thinking "oh that will look gorgeous if some vines grow up it" when I noticed the little building out front.
The little building did have vines on it, and you can kind of tell in the picture that the front door had stones inlaid into the concrete, to encourage plant life to grow around the front door.
So yes, there's this amazing concrete tower, with all kinds of unique textures and shapes on it, and then it contrasts with the natural river out back, and there's a more human-shaped little building on the streetfront that is slowly becoming ensconced in vines. It's perfect.
