Dating back to the early Bronze Age, sun symbol was used by Hattis from the pre-Hittite period in Anatolia. The solar deities were both male and female in Hittite Mythology. Perhaps, Sun Goddess Arianna is most the significant solar deity; as she was known as “Queen of All Lands”. ☀️

Ancient Spring Festival of Hittites ~ Puruli
"Come in! Inara has prepared a feast!" The Myth of the Illuyanka.
The spring festival is dedicated to the destruction of the dragon Illuyanka by the storm god Teshub.
Puruli marks the end of frosty, dark Central Anatolian winter and celebrates the fertile rejuvenation of the land. A great feast prepared by Goddess Inara was held during the vernal equinox is the climax of the Puruli.
