🩷 Happy Valentine’s Day! 💙

Had big plans to draw all my Odyssey ships and update my hot mess of a Kassidas fic for Valentines Day but I have had a TIME of it lately so that obviously didn’t happen. I’m still hoping to get a chapter up this weekend because it’s theoretically almost done I just keep rewriting and editing.

Anyways, I already had a sketch of these two bitches (affectionate) so happy Valentine’s Day to all my lovely followers! Hope you enjoy this drawing of Kassandra and Alkibiades judging everyone at the symposium and also me 😂

Also, I have two little design notes for y’all today. First off, I headcanon that Alkibiades bleaches/dyes his hair so that’s why his roots are starting to show. Second, he gave Kassandra her dress and earrings so they could match and “make everyone else more jealous than usual.”

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey - The Movie

Just re-played it after finishing Shadows, and it's amazing how much Ubisoft got right with Odyssey that they got wrong with Shadows.

Just take the map, for example: It shows all of Greece, but is compressed so that you only have small strips of empty wilderness between settlements and other features. These places are shrunk too by drastically reducing the number of residential buildings. As a result, the prominent buildings, like temples, dominate the vista from every point of the city and give each city a unique look. Cities, fortresses, and temple complexes being smaller than they were historically also makes them easier to handle in gameplay.

They also made sure that the sound design corresponds with what you see: people are yelling at each other, riders gallop through the scenery, dogs are barking, and you hear the sound of craftsmen working. This makes the map feel so alive.

Another important aspect that gives each region a distinctive character is focusing regional quests on certain topics. In Athens, everything is about culture and politics; in Sparta, the quests are about slavery and education; in Argolis, it's medicine; in Corinthia, it is about crime, and so on.
