I like using an Icarus metaphor for Nathan. He got too caught up and fell too close into befriending the enemy, causing him to be easily manipulated and caught.

But still he was said to have behaved with great composure and respect for everyone involved. Keeping calm. Because to once spy and help your country, he accomplished something. By being the first. Being the pioneer.

Also I used 310s “hanging in the wind” for my speedpaint song and it got me thinking. They say “I saw a man hanging in the wind twice, possibly signifying hale and Andre. The two substantial hangings that happen in the show. And using the solo violin cover for Nathan’s hanging shows how truly lonely he was. No friends, nobody to lean on. Poor guy
